The problem isn't the delay, we know Player is a good company and expert in it's field (probably will save aeg), it's the way the rns was worded, it was in an extremely nasty tone and it's not the way you should conduct yourself with your partner! Especially when you've done diddly squat for 7 years. Pot calling kettle black here!
I would say it's still coalswitch 2.0 as September statement that stated revised production process at ashland, the modifications probably causing the further delays... But there is still something else going on behind the scenes, we know who's to blame!
last updated 5th july https://www.aegplc.com/shareholder-analysis/ . note top share holder linarus fze is a dubai investment company holding over 12%... interesting, but why?
Ahhh right, missed that, so its more like another reference plant for prospective customers and we could buy it back in the future (although I hope they dont as pdi seem a capable bunch, unless there's a change at the top here)
27/5/2022 audited results rns:-
Non-current assets
As part of the December fundraising, AEG acquired the remaining 50% of the joint venture from PDI. Know-how of US$400,000, acquired during the CoalSwitch® production period, was recognised. Going forward with the construction of the CoalSwitch® facility in Ashland, AEG will own 100% of the assets and operations of the facility.
There does seem to be a bit of confusion on this... but according to the full year results, quite far down in 'non core assets' it states in the december 2021 fundraise we bought out pdi 50% part of ashland and own 100% of the venture, all the equipment and operations there belong to aeg.
Coalswitch was definitely being produced in utah, I remember lots of us watching the live presentation where there was heaps of the stuff everywhere, impressed potential buyers , how excited we all was, aeg was really going places. That was very long time ago though :(
It's taken 7 years to get this far. since the 1st coalswitch was produced, so there is no hurry, I think the next thing we should do is get it tested again in utah just to see if a 3rd test gives the same results as the other 2 and that's something AEG can actually do well!
Nice to get a new t-shirt of how good coals witch is from extensive testing at the utah facility as my last tshirt from a few years ago of how good coalswitch is from extensive testing at the utah facility is looking VERY VERY TIRED and tatty..... Better than the big mug I'm currently expecting though!
Good find, that's what the turbine industry needs a rapid deployment and maintenance system, it should of been looked at sooner in this Industry though , hopefully a tie up with atlantis in the future as they have stolen a march on us for this.
