Be nice if it was a delivery of components for the repair or refurb of the turbines that are out of the water and will allow the reinstallation pronto.

Unfortunately they are there to drop off or collect the gigantic base or tower structures for the offshore wind turbines. What a size!
Update on the polar onyx its currently off coast of Sri Lanka! I believe i read that vessel has since been sold to some company out that part of the world. So doubt it will be lined up for turbine reinstallation this time.

Ahh I can only say good time to bring your average down then!? Ive slowly taken my average to around 4.3p. Be over the moon if It returned to the high 20s one day and very much hope it does for those who remained and weathered the stotm.

I think everyone is hoping for their initial investment back. Me personally I'm gonna hold for the multibagger. The technology on both fronts works we just need a run of good luck and positive news oh and a government to see sense!

As disappointing as the RNS is atleast theres some sort of communication and in some sense a plan and the Uskmouth project hasn't been abandoned. They must be really confident on the blueprint and determined to get it operational in some form.

In regards to Mygen if cfd funding comes in surely there would be more progress within the next 5 years. Have any of your mates at Nigg ny knowledge of turbines being built for the other projects? Just to see how they are progressing on that front.

Crazy thougt, theres a transfer/pickup of the Japanese Turbine at Port Said Egypt for the Polar onyx to take back to Nigg and then it does the reinstallation of the other turbines we need back in the water. What was the process of turbine getting to Jspan?
Maybe I need to up my medication.

I think the vessels crane lift limit would of been a little on the low said for our turbines. Theres another vessel in at Invergordon that's been their for a wee while now that would of been ideal I'd think, but its probably contracted to other work.
I see the polar onyx the orginal vessel that broke down is on route to a job in egypt just now. Maybe on the way back lol

Vessel finder app showing normand subsea is on route to nigg today. Be very nice if it is collecting a SAE turbine for reinstallation. Hopefully welcome news later this week.

Thank you for correcting the year that article was from, appologiies for the misinterpretation. Am I correct in thinking the AR turbines are more our own design and the AHH from a joint venture or bought in?
Seems our own turbines are more reliable and easier to maintain, which has to be a big positive in promoting SAE's own product.

If this is from this year, theyve been out water 5 months not 8 months. Also by the sounds of it the component at fault will be covered under warranty from designer/supplier. So unfortunately you could say it has been out of SAE's hands the turn around time for two of them I guess.

I'm sure there's a video somewhere that explains the process. When the vessel is in position from what I remember it's only like a 30 minute process to refit the turbine.

Not sure which vessel is to be used. The Polar onyx which is the one that's crane broke down previously is still up in Norway at Bergen. From what I've seen in previous videos or pictures on installs of the turbines think it's just what vessels available and equipped to the job. Doesnt seem theres a repeated use of the same vessel.
I ve been keeping an eye on the vessels coming to and from Invergordon and Nigg. HMS westminister was in there yesterday! Maybe it will take the navy to get the job hurried along!

I very much doubt they could charge for failing to do the job they are hired to do due to equipment failure. But stranger things have happened.
Potential positive movement I've just identified though, the Edda Freya another ship in the deep ocean group (which Polar Oynx belongs to) is on route to Invergordan port which is literally a stone throw from nigg. Will be there the early hours tomorrow. It has some very useful looking cranes on its deck. Might be barking up the wrong tree but here's hoping they honour the contract of reinstalling the turbines with a sister ship.

I'd very much like to think so and be very disappointed if they are not. I think "draft" would be highly delighted too. He may be able to turn his attention elsewhere then. I'll keep an eye on the vessel and any others that may be in the mygen site area or nigg and update as I see anything.
