Trading either the hourly or 2 hour, neither are positive. That doesn't mean it will fall more... the short signal was at 374.9p, the horse could have already bolted. And an RNS could come at any point and send it flying. But as it stands I wouldn't be buying based on the charts at the moment. But charting is not about buying the bottoms, it's about joining movements that look like a trend is developing early on and exiting when that changes. I think for the entry I'll wait on the 2 hour chart. Just to give extra confirmation. The danger is, it gaps up considerably one morning gives a buy signal on the hourly, then sells off. The 2 hour is more likely to filter that out, but give a slightly higher entry.

Yep took my profit too early. Chart wasn't telling me to close, I just closed due to it hitting 400 pips... it's tanking even more now. But will the remainers admit why? Clearly the government has just been defeated yet again in the house of lords over Brexit... and the GBP has sold off against the Dollar. Normally the remainers are quick to say look what happened to the pound since the referendum, but there is zero doubt now the GBP is actually being sold off due to the Lords trying to stop Brexit. This is market psychology... the market gets used to something so they start taking the pound up... then what they had gotten used to (brexit happening) is put in doubt, so the market starts taking it down again. Normally this would be good for Glen, but the DRC stuff is holding it back.

Yeah I'm thinking they'll be finding another way of paying him. But if the USA finds out about it, they could come down harder on Glencore at a later date. They need to be careful.

RDR I agree that a decent RNS would boost Glen quickly. I'm just not sure what they can do. It seems they're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

You may be right about the RNS. But I can't help but think, since Getler is personal friends with the president of the Congo. If Glencore doesn't pay Getler the president will simply stop Glencore operating in the Congo in any way?

I prefer click and collect. I've tried Tesco, Sainsbury's and ASDA. I've also tried those 3 plus Morrisons and Ocado for home delivery. I've been doing this every single week 2 - 3 times a week sometimes for 5+ years as an estimate. I can honestly say ASDA is absolute dog sh*t when it comes to customer experience. I've had half my order turning up for delivery. I;ve had half my order turn up at click and collect points, I've had none of my order turn up at click and collect points... you name it, it's went wrong with ASDA. I get on the phone and try to sort it, and I get some incompetent person who couldn't care less in South Africa or the Philipines from memory. My experience with ASDA was so bad that I vowed never to get a home delivery or click and collect from them again, and haven't. And I gave the more than one chance. I've also moved around the UK from the North to the South multiple times... and the experience didn't change. I haev zero doubt ASDA is run badly. Ocado was decent, although some of their products lacked quality. Morrisons wasn't great, late orders with no communications till I chased them Tesco and Sainsbury's have given me consistent service. I could shop at either. It seems obvious to me that this is a reactive move to Tesco buying Booker. They need to be able to compete with Tesco's buying power, and Walmart have failed miserably with ASDA. Good ridens to Wallmart.

At a guess the board probably goes to the major shareholders with something they want passed. If they have enough to pass it they don't bother with minnows like us and just proceed. I agree, wrong, but if they already know they have the numbers required to pass something, no point in asking the little guys what they think if they can pass it regardless. Could be wrong, but makes sense to me.

Leave it up to the EPL teams and they will vote against it, they don't want the competition. Celtic has a big following around the world. But if government legislated they'd have no choice, but they won't do that either due to the first past the post system. It would be like Turkey's voting for Christmas, the English football fans with a dislike of the Scots would vote against the part in government doing that probably.

Not sure about that, I've seen Celtic beat big English teams in the past. But they can't compete consistently well against the elites of football I don't think. Tony Blair, an absolute roaster of a man... but he was right... the UK is a United Kingdom, there should be a UKPL, not an SPL and EPL... a UKPL unite all the teams, it would shake things up massively, but over time it would make football more interesting.

I'm Scottish... the SPL is sh ite... I;m not a football fan, nor religious... or sectarian... couldn't care less who's winning or losing. So from an objective view point... Celtic dominate the league, but when they go to Europe they get their ar *e handed to them, so they're basically the best of a bad bunch in Scotland.

He's got just under 10k in it... I don't trade it a lot. To make a decent return after stamp and fees I need to in with a higher position than I would do for the other accounts that have a lot more in them... so I wait for obvious opportunities. I occasionally trade leveraged ETF's with his ISA, so I'm in and out fairly quickly. 3OIL and 3OIS I trade with 5k or more... it's leverage to 3x the oil price. So for every 1% the oil price goes up or down I make or lose 3 times that. I don't lose often as I wait for good opportunities, and take the profit as soon as I have it. But it allowed me to get his account balance up quicker than trading normal stocks.

HL... I login under one username. I can place trades on my accounts, my wifes accounts and my son's junior ISA just switching between the accounts without logging into each one. I can't remember it ever going down, or freezing. It's quick to login in, well designed and customer service reply quickly to secure messages. If I phone them they answer quickly and give decent customer service. The small amount extra in trading fees is worth it. You get what you pay for.

AIM... I like this analogy. It's like a Forest full of trees all dropping acorns. Some Acorns never amount to anything, some spring some shoots but don't make it to trees. Only once in a blue moon does one of those tiny little acorns become great big trees to live for years. With AIM the odds are stacked against you. They are all full of promises, but they're also full of bull sh itters selling you a pig in a poke just to keep the wolves from their door. The way I see it... AIM is a pure gamble. If you're going to gamble, the only control you have is the amount you are willing to risk. If the company really is going to be the next big thing, go from a few millions to a multi-billion dollar company, then you don't need to risk a lot to change your life. But again and again, I see people convinced of rags to riches... who stick most or all of their savings into a company based on a sales pitch on an RNS... only to lose the lot when the company is delisted, or gets diluted to an inch of it's life with convertible loan facilities. Not for me.

I don't normally add to positions. But I have done occasionally in the past. With HL it shows the cost of buying and the value keeps it simple. It doesn't show positions separately. It seems IG can't differentiate their real stock trading system, with their spread betting system, because this is how they operate when you spread bet with them. You open a position, then another... it shows two separate positions... instead of amalgamating the two into one
