Also Blly, if you wanted to spread bet to the same value as your holdings to avoid CGT legally... then CMC Markets shows you the actual value of your trade, that way you don't leverage higher than the money you have.
So say for example you had �100,000 to invest in glen, that would be �271 a point at a Glen price of �3.69. (100,000 divided by 369 = �271
So for every penny Glen goes up, you'd make �271. So you gain exactly as you would buying the underlying stocks, but you don't pay a penny on any gains, and you don't have to wait on the dividend being paid on either.
Well I assume CMC is the same as IG with the dividend payment, but I know IG doesn't give you the exact value of your trade on the trade display column.
