The Sainsbury's and ASDA merger will takes ages even if it's agreed. Selling this, selling that, computer problems, fights over redundancy's, pantomime like scrutiny by MP's in front of the media to pretend they care you name it, it's coming. Meanwhile Tesco's already reporting good figures and is well placed to continue with that.

But one thing's for sure... if the DRC shaft Glencore, other big outfits might think twice about doing businesses in the DRC. That must be playing on the governments mind, unless they're just short-termist and thinking about what bribe's coming their way first.

The market already knows mate even without the RNS, well most people will anyway. Remember it's only a temporary injunction... the real show down is the 11th. And even then who know's whether or not the Congo government will take any notice.

I think the negative posts here are very blinkered, I've been on investment forums for years. 9 times out of 10 it's someone who's been burned in the past, and now as FOMO (Fear of missing out). Too scared to buy in case they get burned again, and too scared to miss out. So they assume that by posting negative content on a forum that the minnows here have the ability to significantly drop the price of the stock by selling. Tesco's a Multibillion pound company, the only way it's price is going to get significantly hammered is if institutional investors start selling their holdings off every day for weeks. So far all I see is normal price fluctuations. I have a family member who works at Tesco, I won't go into detail for obvious reasons. But the groups performance was deemed so good that they gave "all" front line staff an extra bonus for their hard work. My family member is not front line so they didn't get the extra bonus on top of their performance related bonus. But there's no chance the extra bonus for front line staff would have happened if the business was genuinely on the decline. Dave Lewis has an excellent proven track record at Unilever, I've got zero doubt this guy knows what he's doing and will revive Tesco's fortunes.

Also just because there's gaps in trading below the current price, that doesn't mean Glen won't ignore that and go higher. But usually there has to be a high degree of confidence that the stock is undervalued at that given time based on short term factors... Right now, whilst the DRC issue has been ruled on by a London court in Glencore's favour... there's still two questions. (1) Will the DRC leadership care what London has ruled, and if so... why would they care? (2) What the decision will be on the 11th. That's uncertainty, uncertainty is not conducive to a rapid rise. But off course that could change in a hear beat. An RNS could be released with news that no one had a clue was coming, and put this issue to bed... then bang up it goes, gap or not.

Lost there's a lot of gap up's and gap downs... If you don't know what that means... Say for example a share closes at 100p on the 02/05, the next day it opens at 103p... that means there's a gap of 3p or 3% in trading. So the people who bought the day before are then sitting on 3% profit that they often didn't expect so soon. They're then thinking, will I sell will I not... inevitably a lot of them sell to take some profit. There's gaps above Glen's current price, but there's also two gaps below it. So the stock is very erratic and hard to chart right now. I almost always never buy on gaps, hence why I've ignored the hourly turning positive. Sometimes that means I miss out on a big run, but most of the time the stock sells of in the coming days after it. That doesn't mean Glen is going to do that, it means it's highly likely though. It might rise to 369 first given there's gaps above it... but it's a hard call. So I'm sitting it out and watching.

Gap to fill both above and below with Glen. If it rises it's a bullish island reversal which is very rare, and highly likely to get filled. But it also has two gaps above it... what an erratic stock it's becoming

HH, I'm going to open a long on RRS, possibly tomorrow.

I came out at 8512.4429 for a small profit on that long according to my transaction history. I see it's about to test 08/2017 support. Will stick it on my watch list, possibly go long if the daily goes positive. Probably use the 8/34 EMA for PPB on the daily... give the entry a bit of lag for better confirmation as it's an erratic stock at times. The trading update today wasn't great I see.

You should always make your own decision, it's your money Pete... although don't beat yourself up too much, there's two gaps below the current price that haven't been filled. There's no guarantee they will be, but more often than not gaps in trading get filled not long after they form. The most recent gap is to 742.2p

Strange the Algo's are not tanking the price... Maybe they're waiting on the decision on Iran. Normally this would be shafting oil badly... that was very bad data. Although sometimes there's more detail in it that comes out later from analysts that doesn't show in the main headline figures.
