That was quite the uncrossing! Rouble to the Dollar hit 65 today, hasn't been there in a while, 8% better rate on the month, fingers crossed it stays there. €:)

Al Jazeera: EU agrees adding names to Russia sanctions list, but no deal yet on sanctions package
European Union foreign ministers agreed in principle to add about 200 Russian people and groups to a sanctions list, even if a whole ninth package of sanctions wasn’t approved yet, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has said.

The bloc’s foreign ministers, however, could not yet adopt the full package of new sanctions proposed by the European Commission, diplomats have said.

Borrell said there had been disagreement on some of the content and its possible impact, but did not go into details. He said he hoped it could be approved later this week

And interesting Newdealz, will the delay hold up redomiciliation and split, or is it going ahead anyway. Looking forward to the update later this month if it's still happening.

I will be posting your response on the LSE and StockTwits chat forums for other investors, if that is ok?

I am hoping you can, at this early stage, let me know if the Polymetal BOD and management anticipate the ninth set of EU sanctions affecting:

Payment of dividends to UK and US investors.

Would the anticipated sanctions on new banks affect Polymetals' ability to do business in Russia, access banking and credit, or restrict / prevent them from operating from their current business locations outside Russia in any significant way.

And in anticipation of the UK adopting a ban on new investment, do you anticipate it preventing the buying / exchanging of shares in any way in the UK. (Very theoretical that I appreciate!).

Any other anticipated impacts on Polymetals' operations.

My only query would be how sanctions apply to Poly dealing with their banks, given the freezing of the European assets of Sberbank and the proposed ban on the Russian Regional Development Bank. So long as Poly can bank and service it's debt it's fine as they've cut business ties with Western businesses and exports anyway. They haven't mooted all banks / financial institutions yet.

In 9.08 post this morning When I asked whether this would delay any decision on Dividend I got this:
"Given that majority of those tendered – were processed – it’s unlikely that it will have an impact on the dividend decision" keep up €:)

Oh and yea I appreciate there will be ongoing extra capital expenditures etc, holding for the long haul!

The point I am making is that the Russian assets have had no positive FCF for the last 2 years and are not expected to do so till 2024, it's been stated that any dividend will be paid from Kaz FCF, though I was agreeing that a dividend may be seen to be Russian, although it isn't from Russian held cash.
