Sold my last HL shares today, asked ii to certificate the remaining shares I have with them. No more obsessing over the SP, no more mucking up the buys and sells. I'm done and will see where the Poly Willy Wonka boat sails now. All I need to do is sort my Tabys reg and the Broker application, former in hand and I've time for the latter. Had a good day in the smallholding today

They're cutting it close with the "We’ll provide more information on this option if the proposal is approved". What does that mean and what if it no one? Poor communication throughout by HL.

The AIX is recognised by HMRC as a qualifying ISA market, so the shares will still remain eligible to be held in an ISA after the LSE delisting. The shares will also remain eligible to remain within a SIPP.

Why is the company proposing to relocate from Jersey to Kazakhstan?

As a result of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Russia has imposed sanctions against companies operating in certain areas, including Jersey. This has caused difficulty for the company’s Russian operations, so they are looking to move to an area where they can avoid as many of these sanctions as possible.

Why does this mean the shares will be delisted from the LSE?

If the relocation to Kazakhstan takes place, the company will not meet the criteria to be listed on the LSE.

I quoted from the communication, but do understand that 'can' doesn't mean any broker 'will', I don't know any that have confirmed they will hold yet, I'm off to Certificates.

There some talk about brokers holding the shares in some form of certificated form in the UK, but nothing is certain about that and no one knows how it would work or even if you could buy or sell.

Best to go to polymetal.com there's a button top right corner Redom GM. There's no brokers into the UK that anyone knows of at the moment who will keep these shares in an ISA once they move to Kazakhstan, or keep them at all. If you buy them you will lose the tax advantage anyway so not much point in using an ISA or SIPP as it stands, people are moving over to certificated form and registering for the Tabys App, details on the website, or using brokers from the list on the website, though it takes time and paperwork, have a look at the deadlines. I'm moving mine over to certificates, takes 2 - 3 weeks. Have emailed my details to the email address on the Tabys App pdf (website) then Polymetal will send a code for activating Tabys App registration.

Interactive Investor are still buying into trading accounts and issuing certs.

If you have a shed load of these at a cheap price, and can get reasonably priced access to some financial advice then I would suggest that. My understanding is you can't take them out if a SIPP, which is what certification is all about, BUT I vaguely remember something about drawing on your 25% non taxable allowance early which does not necessarily trigger 'Crystallized Pension'. But it may not be worth it for a few shares and it's only a memory from watching a Meaningful Money video on YouTube!!!

Tom Worstall has been strongly warning off buying Poly since the start of the war, interesting he's calling it a (limited) buy now.

DonJules you are UK based? If so go to https://www.polymetalinternational.com/files/en/Tabys_guide.pdf there's instructions on the App, you will need to send Poly your information, email and what they need is in the PDF, then you will get a code later to put in, you will see it in the instructions.
