The difference between Comex Prices, and LME prices are also important. Copper price flew higher on Comex (Primarily serves North America, but its copper futures are globally traded, influencing pricing worldwide whereas LME has a Global, but strong presence in Europe, Asia, and emerging markets. It’s the primary copper pricing benchmark outside of North America. The divergence between Comex and LME copper prices was huge, when historically it has been minimal. I was looking into when the prices would start to converge again - now we know. I am not sweating the small stuff on the current Comex Drop - the trend is clear. Upwards.
