i accept shorting provides liquidity but as i have said before the fundamental problem is that funds do not have to notify anyone if they have lent out to shorters !! The problem with that is the market likes to pretend it is a level playing field that the advantages of the big boys like better research and faster trading capability are available to anyone who is willing to buy them. Wrong !! Fundamentally when a fund lends to shorters whatever quantity they may not " know" for certain that X number of shares are going to be sold but they are pretty certain, no one pays 6% fee for the loan and then becomes a holder !! so in effect they KNOW a large sale is imminent and can set up sell cfd's and prepare to buy in later at a lower cost sp !!! Can i buy that ability ?? can i act on info im not party too ? can i manipulate the sp to my benefit in this way ? When the share being shorted is a company in trouble the loanee may have decided that the sp is simply too high and the shorting will correct it BUT in situations like ours were the end game is a sale that the funds seem to believe WILL happen then the shorters allow the funds to earn while they wait and to give them insider information as to an imminent and large sell !! INSIDER trading is not too far a stretch ! make funds notify that a short loan is pending 3 days before it goes active !! then we all have the same info and can act accordingly if we choose to. That would be a good minimalist start. gla

If alexeiwas a party to that information he will be prosecuted ! simple really. I personally think 8 months and half of that with ubs and piper on board tells me its imminent! Add to that the nomad will be beginning to push for resolution if that have not been doing so for a while and the parties not in the final round but covered by the nda will be chomping at the bit to get involved and definitely will have very large positions ready to fire at a moments notice should the rns drop ! They may have not have been able to buy us but they have seen the data and will want in one way or another. just a view and wtfdik yada yada yada

yeah chanatron i sold bpc @ 2.2 to bring the cash here :) sweated on the drill i must admit but for the most part i try never to say what if etc its masochism plain and simple. Do the deal and accept the good the bad and the ugly with equal stoicism lol

i would have been heavily into bpc,echo and amigo had i not been tied up here ! i also missed a rainbow chase on arb @ 88p to £1.25 PROBABLY! and i may have been involved in others with my usual success ratio ??? so on balance again at this moment im significantly up and thats right now with no sale yet !! Post sale ill be retired so no complaints here much as id like to start spending :)

NTTG2 possibly however.... the whole "raison d'etre" of ii's and funds is to make a profit regardless of outcome ! The share price rose dramatically because of sticky hands and lack of liquidity. As soon as Blackrock et all came a board and we reached the dizzy heights of mid 40's a few things would have happened, first some shares would have been lent to small time ( sub 1 % ) shorters, two the new fund investors would have hedged their positions with sell cdf's and finnaly as the price fell those same funds would have begun averaging down. Im still not sure if a trade need only be mentioned in an rns if it materially changes the holders position ?? If not then if a fund trades the lows and the highs but remains with the exact same holding it may not even need to declare it ???? Even a little fish like me will average down if the price drops after a purchase so im pretty sure the funds do also.. Anyway pure speculation but annoyingly predictable which is why im annoyed i only figured it with the benefit of hindsight lol
