The risk with selling is that the news could drop literally in ten minutes ! There is no such risk in scalping your way to a lower average. All the de rampers making noises about low ball selling prices are delusional ! Forget about the fact we have massive resources, forget about the low capex! The lowest production costs in the world and the fact that we will be mining in rubbles and selling in dollars forget all the hundreds of nuanced reasons why his is a once in a generation acquisition!
All those things are true but one other tiny item often goes unmentioned ...none of the big players will allow us to be sold to a competitor for such a low price as to destroy their own competitiveness !!!
Maybe Anglo or impala don’t want eur but if they were offered us for say 3 bil you bet they would find the money !!! Even venture capital would be interested @ ridiculous levels !!

its more nuanced than that however. I agree they will be the probable buyers, but their past involvement means the haggling will be interesting ! They cannot be seen to be paying too much but they obviously do not want this to go elsewhere !!! Bit like juggling corporate chainsaws lol
