Oct 20 (Reuters) - As China moved to control some exports of key battery mineral graphite on Friday, miners elsewhere face a race against time to bring new projects to fruition to secure supplies for the next generation of electric vehicles.

China will require export permits for some graphite products to protect national security, its commerce ministry said, in its latest move to safeguard supplies of critical minerals and protect its manufacturing dominance.

The world's top graphite producer and exporter also refines more than 90% of the material used in virtually all electric vehicles' (EVs) battery anodes, which is the negatively charged portion of a battery.

Black Rock has signed an MOU with POSCO for Mahenge Module 2 offtake. Under the deal, POSCO will provide an additional equity investment in BKT of up to US$40m, or a stake of 19.99% in BKT.

This is excellent news for blackrock & Mahenge region , POSCO are a huge outfit.

Surely it's best to wait & see what the next rns brings. As for those selling, let them as they provide opportunity for others.

Only a matter of time but the update will come & I'm sure the board are well aware of things.

Regarding walkabout res, they are waiting for final funding sign of from Gemcorp which is expected by June, so anytime now.

Think walkabout getting finance is huge deal up there with blackrock when it gets there's. Walkabout financing cost is similar to ours & debt package is almost certainly what Acp will be going for. Also shows Tanzania is seriously becoming a graphite hub. All very good news for Acp.

After such a long period without news let's see what the next update brings & judge them on that, it maybe substantial.

The truth is nobody knows .. but the Mahenge is on the cusp of becoming a major graphite region, our neighbour Blackrock & today Ecograf announcement of MOU for offtakes both with Korean company POSCO bodes very well for Acp.

Blackrock Massive volume traded over 6M shares 7.4% up.. this is it people taking positions on imminent funding announcement over there.

This is very good news $10M prepayment from customer, debt finace announcement due before end of June so anytime now.
