I have the right numbers allocated to my isa and sipp with Halifax and hl but unable to trade them. Until they are tradable they are just numbers in an account.

Thanks for that PC. So it is a problem between HSBC and HL. That surely warrants a compliant if they can't get their **** together.

The Demerger of your Calidus shares has now been completed. We are currently in the process of transferring the Calidus shares to our foreign settlement provider. Once this is complete it will enable us to transfer your shares to another broker. We do not offer a service on the Australian market so we cannot offer any trading in these shares.

If you have already requested a transfer to another broker this will be put on hold until our transfer is complete. This may take some time due to reasons outside of our control. We will progress transfers as soon as possible.

This is from Halifax corporate action email

If you wish to trade in the Calidus shares you will need to establish an arrangement with an alternative broker. Should you wish to do this, please contact our call centre with the details of your chosen alternative broker and we will facilitate the transfer of your shares to them. Please be aware that you will need to have contacted your chosen broker in order to complete their necessary transfer process prior to contacting our call centre.

Definitely something the FCA or ombundsman should be looking into.

On the AJBell website it can apparently take 10 to 12 keeks to transfer international shares. Don’t know if that helps explain things a bit.

Halifax did say they would send out information soon............????

It's hard to know what the exact problem unless they give us a full explanation. HL and Halifax seem to say the same thing as in' the custodian transfer isn't complete'.
My guess is there is confusion regarding who actually held the shares on a specific date but surely that info is all electronic data that should be easily got.

After an hour with Halifax regarding calidus stock , the only answer I can get is, the custodian transfer isn’t complete..

Looks like yesterday action down to a few traders ramping on Twitter.. buy at 10.48 yesterday sold this am on nex/aquis.
I emailed Russell yesterday morning before the rise in sp. Not holding my breath for a response but will let you know if I get anything..

Just checked the last corporate notice from Halifax dated 23rd January 2020

Last sentence was

Sounds similar to hl excuse.
