@Redinjun : All of them. The GDR is just another kind of security being exchanged on the LSE, no different than some ETF shares for example.

All brokers trade GDR, since they are just certificates trading on the LSE or American exchanges. The only issue with GDR is you own a certificate, not the underlying share, so you have to trust the issuer. If you don't, you can always redeem the note and get the real share (this is what forcibly happened to some Russian GDR holders, btw) - but then you need a broker with a Kazakh custodian.

@Redinjun : Nah, retail will just receive a GDR and will not know any better. The funny letters and number will simply begin by US instead of JE, and the name of the stock may become ALL CAPS, which is louder and inspire mode confidence in the stock anyway.

If you are looking for the full Kazakh experience, I advise you to buy a share of Kazatomprom on the LSE. I have 2000 of them since 2018 and have been very happy with all the slightly radioactive yoghurt. Goats are nice too, once you get to know them. "Know" as in the King James way of knowing.

You will wake up one day and your shares will have been replaced by silly pictures of moustachioed men frolicking with goats. You may feel bad, despite the goats cuteness, until you receive a crate of delicious handmade goat yoghurt on your doorstep on a cold February afternoon.
In all seriousness, your shares will simply be replaced with a GDR (which will allow you to sidestep the 15% witholding tax on Kazakhstani dividendes). You can redeem the GDR for the real McCoy if you have a dealer able to custody kazakh shares for you.

YES YES they will fist the individual investors with both hands in exchange for 30 silver coins and a virgin Kazakhstani camel. Everyone need to sell, now, quickly, at any price. Sell for your life !

Well I did my best to stir up the panic and move the price below 200p, but it looks like many investors do like goat yoghurt and loose women and I ended up doing the opposite of what I intended. Sorry guys, I tried. And sadly I guess the stock will be back to 350p when I will finally have made my wire and have cash available to buy again. "Great success", as Borat would put it.

Man, you should tell them Borat is real and after the company move to Kazakhstan the share will only be issued on paper and can only be bought using loose camels or women. Let them dump down to 92p again, I want a do-over :) This time I'll buy 10000 shares.

Kazakh ISIN is not necessary a big deal. I am a Kazatomprom shareholder and I bought the shares on the LSE. It's a GDR instead of a real share. On the other hand, if they really move to Kazakhstan, I have a dealing account with Halyk Finance and I could ask them to deliver the shares to this account to own them without any intermediary. Not aware of any european broker providing access to AIX (which is a shame, interesting shares in Central Asia, I'm waiting for the Navoi Mining IPO in Uzbekistan...)

On the contrary, please continue dumping everyone, I have some fresh cash coming end of this month and I'd love to top up below 240p (may I ask below 200p without being deemed cheeky ?). Make POLY Cheap Again !

Well nothing happens if you guys don't vote for it. I've always been against the split, much better to wait for the end of the war, which should come soon. All the ruckus about tanks is ridiculous, those have been obsoletes since WW2 except in the kind of sheethole countries the Americans love to invade. Tanks are sitting ducks when you have air supremacy - and even if you don't have it, you just need good satellites and guided missiles to remove them if they become bothersome. Obviously, if you are a goat herder with an AK47, tanks are much more of a problem.

Man I wish I could buy that much shares. I feel like a clown with my 6000 shares and 180p average.

@GoldenTemple : No worries friend. Think about it that way : currently only a few brazen britons can buy and hold the share (well, and a few really crazy foreigners like me who will go to such length as opening a dealing account in Israel to break the self imposed sanctions). The wallstreetbets dudebros cannot even like the share : the OTC tickers have been suspended. Institutional money cannot go near it as well (well, maybe some macho southern ruffian with an oil or tobacco fortune will, but most of the snivelling virtue signallers who rule over us won't touch anything remotely Russian, too much toxic masculinity...). So it's just us. Whenever the barn doors will open, it will be something to behold, a real stampede, and we got front row seats.

Actually I hope the first dividends are paid as DRIP. Then I won't be taxed (in France, we have to pay 17% on all capital gains to house and feed the third world invaders who rape and slaughter our daughters - it's a cultural thing) AND I will get more shares without making my average look like crap. I like round numbers and low average, I can't be helped, I'm an aesthete. My first 4000 shares were bought for 150p, it was very hard for me to sully this clean number when I bought again at 235, but I got over it because my insatiable greed was stronger in the end and I was still sore to have missed the summer dip @180p.

I do hope some "ADVFN rampers" dump on the 25th, the steepest the better. Then I will have another opportunity to top up. But maybe I'm still too greedy to consider the current price "too high", it will look cheap when the share reach 1000p and I get a 6000 pounds yearly income without doing anything. Especially if the Euro goes to its rightful place, the dustbin of history, and one pound buys a few hundred nouveaux francs :)

I'm sure glad I managed to refill at 235p in December, I had the foreboding feeling this may be my last chance. Too bad I'm JPPoubelle and not JPMorgan, I could only afford 2000 more shares... Like others, how I wish I would have bought more when it was cheaper. I was in front of my computer when it hit 92p, but I didn't buy because I was hoping for 50p. Greed is a sin.

Btw, notice the general lack of respect for the two archetypal characters I described. That was not always the case though. When the church was all about fire and brimstones and burning witches, and the always unexpected Spanish inquisition, it was very much respected. Same for teachers, vigorous canning garnered them more respect than talking about each others' feelings.
