Tweet says drilling rig which is not the same as the first hole of this campaign has been completed. The target info, the location, the core are all secret squirrel which is disappointing as I’d like to know a lot more about the Wishbone drills.

They hit VMS in 2021 but on the periphery of the system hence grades uneconomic, but this time round the should be hitting the main targets.

That's a good write up and most important it's a new audience.

I'm no closer to understanding the KSZ strategy and the scope of the JV. What I hope happens is at the end of Jan, KAV drills 5 or 6 holes into B1,3,4 and possibly a super deep 2000m int o the GRS, then on the basis of those results a JV but for the Northern licences only targeting Ni/Cu, IOCG.

That leaves the southern KSZ licences which in theory are shallower so easier/cheaper to drill targeting PGE.

Agri: add in POW KCB deal and your ‘30 bagger’ is now a 3 bagger, plenty of PIs would still be happy but it’s not the once in decade investment.

“not at a huge discount”, I see fair value for KAV without any discoveries c4-5p/share and KAV has come a long way in the last 12 months. In that context 1.8p isn’t good.

Would be helpful if they published the conductance reading, they didn’t use the words ‘super massive” which generally suggests high grade, a ‘superconductor’ certainly has potential but there’s a host of things it could be at the lower end of the scale, so cautious optimism required.

£1.5m would have been sufficient to finish PL082 and 3 medium deep drills into the KSZ and not need another raising until May

So why didn’t they wait a month to complete the current K CB drills?

KAV released a CSAMT image supposedly 3km deep and if they hadn’t marked it up then I wouldn’t have had a clue what the target was. I thought the interesting part of the image was the sedimentary nature and what looks like some strong conductors, what are these and could there be deposits much deeper? I wonder if anyone has put a really deep drill into the KSB?

Recent Cobra drills have also recovered whole core so perhaps this is easier to visualise mineral formation and pathways.

The assays were always going to take time although I thought BT recently said the lab owed a favour as they'd made an error on Ditau. RC produces chips and course material which is easier to screen with XRF. BT has tweeted he'll inform the market if they find anything significant though don't expect grades until the independent assay.

John Lauderdale was KAV's consulting geologist, he said KAV prospects were “potentially absolutely mind-blowing” and then left KAV 6 months later for a senior role at Sandfire. John likely ok'd the CSMAT as Sandfire could be a buyer for PL082 to process at nearby Motheo currently under construction.

Monster development down the road from KAV, from memory the resource grades are c1% Cu & 15g/t Ag which is fairly modest.

New RNS today re drilling contractors so can't be long now otherwise it'll get very chilly for the crew.

RNS talks about Wishbone, the 2021 results were mixed, yes they found massive sulphides though the grades and metals were not in themselves commercial. Darren handled this poorly and it wasn't until later with the upside down traffic cone presentation and a graphic on VMS systems that put the results into context so I'm hoping the next drills are focussing on finding the main source of the VMS rather than fishing trips based on interesting magnetics.

Panther share price isn't going to move until they find something meaningful so fingers crossed.

Their exploration methods are ancient and not a patch on the likes of KAV. Feels like PALM are wildcat drilling on the back of third-party government data, except they've not actually said when the drills will start.

It might be an idea to drill KSZ B1/3/4 before making any Kanye decisions because if they don’t find anything (and this is a very challenging area) then KCB by financial necessity will become the main focus.

Ben’s Kanye strategy makes no sense whatsoever.

Error 1. Botswana a beacon for corporate governance in Africa but an economic minnow. By all means have a secondary/tertiary listing to keep the locals onboard but the main listings must be UK/CA/AU.

Error 2. The typical spin out model sees the parent keeping a controlling/major stake but this rarely crystallises value just ask POW. As a KAV retail investor how do I make money out of this?

Error 3. Exit strategy for crystallising Kanye holding?

Error 4. Many KAV investors are specifically attracted to KCB because of the scale and the risk to reward ratio as relatively low risk in a proven copper belt. Putting aside KSZ B1/3/4, KSZ is incredibly high risk and 40 years of drilling proves this.

Error 5. Don’t listen or do business with Paul Johnson.

To Ben if you’re reading this:
If you must list Kanye then list on TSX/LSE but hand KAV’s stake directly to retail investors who can decide when to crystalise value. I support KAV’s drilling of KSZ B1/3/4 but outside of this I’m not willing to support your wildcat drilling in KSZ/Ditau and the IOCG exploration is out of KAV’s league (if you believe the hype in the first place).

My preferred strategy however is drill PL082 and B1-4 the most immediate value drivers in the next 6 months. Then focus KAV entirely on the KCB, potentially dual list KAV on a major exchange and sell/free carry JV/float a separate company for the remaining KSZ/Ditau, & no smelter fees/long term rubbish.
