There was no mention of drills 1-4 which are south of drill 5 so the assumption is they remain unfinished, no mention of CSAMT or indication of syncline or anticline.

BW Christmas break starts this weekend, its like their summer holidays so lasts a month.
Drilling will stop Friday (if not earlier)
BT said an update would be issued shortly, either Friday or early next week.
Drills 1-4 were partially completed by early Nov.
Drill 5 looks finished c350m possibly deeper.
No news on drill 6 or 1-4 (DD). They potentially had time to drill 6 although would require CSAMT to validate against drill 5 core.

Next announcement either Friday, Monday or Tuesday. Not expecting a discovery or major find because they'd have announced any good news already and as we know drill 5 as of last week had not discovered the main mineralisation zone. Expect upbeat...some mineralisation...missed by 200m.....expanding campaign in Jan...BT very encouraged.

They're trying to validate CSAMT via Sandfire which sounds sensible. But more practically does the core from hole 5 match the pre drill CSAMT because they started diamond @90m so obviously expected a contact zone at depths 100-200m. More inclined to think the technology is correct but they're either drilling in the wrong place or the location of the CSMAT survey was wrong. They've got 8-9 days max of drilling time, perhaps they revert back to RC with the double shifts and sink 3x200m drills at 100m intervals until they hit something. I would hate KAV to end up with nothing after 2 months.

Update: last night BT said hole 5 had failed to find the D’Kar/Ngwako Pan contact zone where the mineralisation takes place. He refused several times to elaborate if holes 1-4 had completed. BW christmas holidays start at the end of next week and an announcement about the drill campaign will be made.

Lesson learnt from the last Ditau drill plus benefit of CSAMT. Its actually good news except it messes up the timetable. An interesting point is the drill is in the northern target which incidentally had better soil sample results so maybe its a richer area.

More twitter today, they appear to be still drilling hole 5, something is very badly wrong which is probably why yesterday's twitter shows Brett arriving (the second time in 2 months). I honestly want KAV to succeed so what's going on?

There's nothing stopping KAV releasing an RNS/Tweet on what they found so far but I think the drilling campaign will continue until the guys break for Christmas, potentially another two weeks. Bret Grist arriving is a good sign.

Re costs: the share price last year was 4-6 pence (1.8p today) and they convinced Mindea to take half the fee in KAV equity @4p so a reasonable deal. Contrast with the current KCB campaign, no mention of equity4fee, hardly surprising for either party and what looked like a simple straight forward RC/DD drill will over run by 4-6 weeks & I suspect that's due to equipment/staff availability.

Turnip refused to release the assays although the Hornsey report gives the results, basically nothing which was odd because the photo you refer to looked promising.

Stan, the underlying answer to your question is how strong is the corporate governance? It’s basically non existent, the Chair did business with old Kavango and is no longer a partner with Druces despite the bio on the KAV website, the other directors are founders and I’d thought of contacting them along the lines of saying you guys have large shareholdings and Turney has trashed the share price and heavily diluted your holdings, when is enough enough?

That said, I assume the 5th drill has now completed so they have core from the contact zone. They have either 2 or 3 weeks to complete before the shut down and that means c150mx4holes of DD for holes 1-4. I don’t think there’s time for the 6th drill unless Mindea get their act together. The situation (the share price) could turn around quite dramatically if the results are anything like Cobre, it’s basically the same geology.

Yes but of those 7 weeks, only the last week really counts as the target is thought to be 150-300m and we've only seen box 12 which is the start of that zone and it certainly had large amounts of quartz graining. Not sure if they've time to start drill 6 so wouldn't be surprised if they return to finish 1-4

4000m depth could be very useful finding feeder zones whereas so far the mining and exploration has concentrated on the contact zone.

ok, the prospectus does talk about 3000m in 2022:

• Wishbone Prospect - 6 drillholes (up to 1,200m total) planned. Targeting base metals. Drilling
will follow-up on the successful discovery of volcanogenic massive sulphide (“VMS”)
mineralisation by the two hole diamond drilling campaign in the autumn of 2021 The 2021 drill
hole intercepts included 27.3m of massive sulphide in hole 1 and 51m of sulphide-dominated
mineralisation in hole 2;
• Awkward Prospect – 3 drillholes (up to 600m total) planned. Targeting platinum group element
(“PGE”) and nickel mineralisation. Awkward is a highly anomalous coincident magnetic and
electromagnetic (“EM”) geophysics target interpreted to be a layered mafic intrusion and
magmatic conduit based on EM plate-modelling commissioned by Panther. Historic sampling
has confirmed the presence of anomalous platinum and palladium values, while historic drilling
on the periphery of the target has confirmed massive sulphide mineralisation hosted in co****
gabbro and “marble cake’ gabbro matching the description of the varitexture gabbro ore zone
at the Impala Lac des Iles PGE mine;"

My take is:
They left it too late to start drilling.
Wishbone, the most advanced target area 1000m vs 1200m went to plan.
Awkward, the wildcard tested 3 areas, they found good mineralisation in the second hole, very early stages planning deeper drills next year.

I agree the RNS is largely pointless and should have released 2 weeks ago .

I don’t understand why Darren isn’t talking about Wishbone with maps, diagrams, drill locations, or reporting general findings from the drills.

Fair enough, I just did 6x1x12 and didn't see the depth marker. A second view of the photo shows the 3m lengths are delivered to each side of the table and are the split and analysed, certainly good evidence of quartz.

If the contact zone was c150m then this is the start of the expected mineralisation zone which should get stronger with depth.
