Just looking at the latest Davy targets for the Irish banks: BIRG €22.11 and AIB €11.45

Not been following PRD lately but I'm not aware of any updates from DCEE regarding Corrib South.

Market not happy with the way the 2026 revenue stream has been explained. I think it's a good buy at this price point but the lower the price the more the opportunity for some form of takeover/buyout at less than fair value

AIM is mainly just a market for speculative ventures but any solid companies listed on AIM that have real prospects combined with reasonable/cheap valuations will eventually come good, either by buyouts or privatization.

This is great news both in terms of immediate revenue and also in demonstrating the scale of operations they can handle. Potential takeover target but will command a much higher price tag than previous speculation.

Whatever about the current government, I'm certainly watching my exposure to Irish shares given the likely rainbow coalition of loony tunes that could form the next administration. Another bump in BIRG over the next few months and I'll happily take my profits!

Barclays have always been one of the more cautious analysts on BIRG but they have raised their target SP from €15.40 to €19.50

Some wild moves across all markets this morning - Dow futures were way down, now up 1000 points. The algo traders love a good crisis!

The Euro bank index lost about 5% last week - it always seems that BIRG and AIB overshoot any significant moves in this index. I would only get worried if the Euro index had not dropped i.e. something specific to the Irish banks.

It will probably overshoot on the way up as it did on the way down - I'm happy to hold but 15p would tempt me to offload some!

The ISEQ is where the main volume is traded so it's the most accurate price (BIRG.IR) - The BIRG.L price tends to move on small volumes.

Not €18 on the ISEQ but seems to be slowly heading in that direction!

Every time there is a placement coming up the SP drops significantly the day before at around 2-3pm.

Good start to the new year for BIRG - any opinions on an SP target for 2026? It must be getting close to fully valued at this stage?

The Irish banks are relatively small by European standards so they just get caught up with the index funds whether it's buying or selling. Anytime I see significant changes in BIRG or AIB I just check the euro bank index EXX1.DE. If they are moving in sync with that index then I just ignore it. If they are moving out of sync with the index then it's something specific to the banks themselves.
