Hopeful.
That's despicable, though I'm not totally surprised. When visited by my tory councillor he was very disparaging about the state schools in the area. Ones that they themselves are responsible for. (A bit like a housing head that's never been in a block of flats I suppose).

"How much Russian money is frozen by the West?
On 29th June 2022, The Russian Elites, Proxies, and Oligarchs (REPO) Task Force reported, blocked or frozen sanctioned Russians' assets of more than US$30 billion and the immobilisation of about US$300 billion worth of Russian Central Bank assets.28 Feb 2023".
There may (I hope) be a bit of "Tit for Tat" if that were to happen.
Tory MP's
Agreed, they are of no use to the general public whatsoever. I had reason to ask a question of mine regarding a planning application by a tory party member which would have devalued my property. First he asked if I was actually a constituent, (he could have checked on the electoral roll), and then when told I was, he could not be bothered to reply to my question with an answer. THE MAN IS NOW A JUNIOR MINISTER
From Media bias/Fact check.
Their view of Tippinsight :--
RIGHT BIAS
These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward conservative causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using an appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports, and omit information that may damage conservative causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy. See all Right Bias sources.
Overall, we rate TIPP Insights Right Biased based on editorial positions that favor a conservative=libertarian perspective. We also rate them Mixed for factual reporting due to a lack of transparency with ownership and the use of poor sources, which fail fact checks and promote pseudoscience.

"I am not a bot, but a British citizen and proud of it."
Pull the other one, it's got bells on.....
Kat
Why bot (Freudian slip) post about Polymetal? This is a Polymetal board after all, (if your handlers will allow that is) I'm sure all here would be riveted in what you have to say on the matter. If not, I'm over and out.

"Sounds like you are describing an Imperial Model of Rule to me. Heaven forbid the British ever decide to build an Empire, eh".
You should have learned by now that democracies tend to evolve whereas dictatorships do not. Interesting that you have to drag up events of 150 years ago to support your case. Why not study those happening in your country now to see present reality. Or are you advocating a move back to candle power?
Kat.
Interesting, I suppose that you would advocate russ1a's model, steal or misappropriate all of a nation’s wealth, transfer 90% to easily controlled (or murdered) oligarchs. Subjugate and oppress the population, outlawing any form of organised political opposition. Tightly control and manipulate all forms of information to your oun narrative. Rewrite the constitution to allow for lifelong leaders with minimal forms of appeal and hold manipulated meaningless “elections”. Great idea!
I would advise that you grow up, (I assume that you’re about 19) and learn more about your nation and the real world before you make yourself look stupid again.
Kat
"NATO was an answer to a question which has disappeared".
I would have thought that the attacks on Ukraine and other countries would have shown that NATO is needed more now than ever. Has a NATO member been invaded?
Just when you thought it was safe to go out.........
Alto.
You’re wrong.
Rex.
I agree, you have to remember though that pooter's trolls need every false narative possible, every day to bolster their depressions. Most real investors here take little notice, we all know that they are simply the rantings of paid madmen. Don't lose any sleep over it. One happy day, when the "3 Day" war is over, they will just melt away.

Many exchanges around the world qualify as suitable for ISA’s. The Kaz exchange (AIX) is listed on the inland revenue site as an ISA qualifying one, so as long as they list there things should be OK in my view. The issue with trading etc is that no (as yet) broker has been found who cares to deal with the ISA management.
But as always, DYOR.
GLASH.
That's interesting, others have been told otherwise. My son actually had Polymetal shares transferred to a new HL ISA from an Interactive investor ISA. He was told that they are now "dormant" unless relisted on the LSE, but will receive divi's in the normal way.
Nik.
You may know that CGT allowances are going down over the next couple of years in a couple of steps (it's already started). It may be good if you check up on that.
Now, the next is just my view. As I am keeping long term, I would if possible maintain ISA cover (HL allows this) where possible, depending on your investment goals. This though means that the shares will be in limbo, not allowing any share sells or buys but allowing divi payments (into the ISA if required I think, please check with HL). This way, your costs are kept low, though flexibility is low also. If only a small number are held outside the ISA I would check up on costs of transfers as this could potentially outweigh any gains. Bare in mind that divi's could be at 25% + of present market price.
Hope that helps.
GLASH.
Nik.
Two questions.
Are your shares in an ISA?
Do you have a holding the dividends of which would be subject to U.K. CGT?
From the Sofia news agency.....
“Bulgaria’s Military Intelligence:.. Russian Agents are trying to Destabilize the Balkans”.
"In a regional aspect, Moscow's indirect attempts to create a second zone of instability in the Western Balkans, taking advantage of the existing problems and contradictions in the region, played a destructive role. The activity of Russian special services in and from the territory of certain countries of the Western Balkans increased significantly during 2022 in an attempt to compensate for the damage caused to Russian legal residences by the expulsion of Russian diplomats from a number of countries in Europe." This is stated in the report on the activities of the Bulgarian "Military Intelligence" Service for 2022. The Service is part of the Bulgarian Armed Forces and is directly subordinated to the Minister on defense.
War is costly for all, why do people start it in the first place?
A simple question to the Ukrainian people would be."Would you rather speak Ukrainian or russian?
Obviously some try to deflect with" I just want the war to stop" but it's never realistic or based on the aggressor stopping or moving back to their own country. No criticism of the aggressor in this war is ever allowed.
