RE: Accoutability Of BoD4 Apr 2025 08:20
As I see it, Nesis is no longer captain of this ship. (For some years he seemed to run things well for the benefit of all, things changed when the Omani's came on board). Why people think the Arabs would be better for shareholders I have no idea, they don’t want a new CEO because that person would want the obvious, a resumption of normal LTD company methodology, to the benefit of all shareholders, and the boosting of share price.
OK they may not be russ1an, but it's their aim in my view to take the company private, it's an Oman national wealth fund, they have no interest in having "mom and pop" shareholders, they wish to take over the whole company, and as cheaply as possible, hence the extended timescales, hence the lack of proper shareholder records, hence tying the company to them even further via loans, (removing the need to go out to the market, which would probably have required a much higher share price and so a liquid exchange listing) hence the pushing out of timescales and the use of all company profits to build out valuable (in the long term) capital equipment that does absolutely nothing positive for the share price or present shareholders.
They want the common shareholders to get fed up of waiting and getting no divi's and so sell up at this silly low price. Waiting till 2030 is nothing to them, lending money to the company is nothing to them because of their long term goals.
Starmer has nothing to do with any of this, sanctions were in place years ago, and accepted by most nations as just retalliation for the unprovoked invasion of a soverignn nation. Those moaning about sanctions would be better thinking how long away would WW3 be if bigger nations were just allowed to take over smaller ones threatening nuclear war? That they should hold to ranson smaller nations that wish to be independant? That the false premise of a few nationals living in a different nation is an excuse to invade?
The best way to lift sanctions is for peace agreements to be honoured, and fighting and killing to stop.
How to change the company policies and future path is the real issue here, NOT SANCTIONS.
