neither you nor i know the real details behind what has happened there. lets see when the details emerge. what i do know is that the uk had one of the highest covid deat rates of any developed nation. £40 billion was wasted (how many birmingham's would that bail out? about 40 is it not?) brex**** has relegated the uk to an "also ran" state. so certainly it's not going to go right all the time.

as for the rabbit of warks, only a fool would ignore the decades of tory cuts (to give tax breaks to the rich) which have caused council taxes to outpace inflation for many years., did you miss that "stealth tax"?? how about the removal of lower rate tax tiers to heap a larger tax burden on the less well off, i thought that you were an accountant! clearly not a tax one (ps, my wife was a qualified accountant). london (a bit like westminster council, remember, they had a housing lead that had never been into a block of flats, with terrible results) does it's thing, will the billions saved on healthcare due to lower smog levels equal the cost, i don't know, (what is the value of a normal member of the public?) but one things for sure, it won't all go to non doms, russ1an's in the house of lords, multi million bungs for their mates or tax cuts for the wealthy.

If they have to conscript rapists and murderers from prisons, then after their six months service allow them home to do the same again to the Russian public, then you'll know they are desperate. I wonder who has done that?

Who but a tory would criticize a parties actions or policies that has not been in power for 13 years! And defend one that has overseen the greatest level of corruption, forced the largest fall in the UK's economy, has been so anti business, (and it will get worse) and lowered the UK's standing in the world more than anything in the last 80 years!

The tory party has had it's head during this time, to show it's true self, to lie, manipulate, misinform and steal many tens, nay, hundreds of £billions from the people of this nation, and to condem it to a falling standard of living, and rising retirement ages. Where will the NHS, state education, social services and defence end up? Like the roads, more pot holes than tarmac.. They stand for one thing and one thing only SELF. The AIX exchange has been in action for six years, whether that is a long or short time is subjective but others have grown far faster. Anyone with trading nouse will know that Poly on the AIX is illiquid. 100 or so trades a session with volumes of 10,000 to 30,000 shares traded is laughably small. Any trade of over 500 shares it seems, affects the price materially.

But this all in a way misses the point, In my view Poly is presently in a holding pattern, protected from sanctions, or other damaging actions from many negative sources. Dividends can be paid, russian assets sold (and value gained) and the company can even grow. Again in my view, the management has been nothing short of superhuman it seems in navigating the storms. Compare this with POG, who seem to had made no real efforts to protect the common shareholder. Given time, when Poly is back on the LSE, normal trading can return. But until then the AIX "port" is to me at least a welcome safe harbour at this time. Many will not wish to sell anyway, with a divi return of possibly 30%+ (based on pre move prices) and share price appreciation too.

What you seem to have left out (I wonder why?) is that developers can pay a surcharge to remove this requirement. It's about £20k per property or so. Most do this, leading to local people being priced out of the market. The reality (however much the tories want to spin the opposite) is that there is a shortage of affordable housing. The big builders get first pick of suitable land and 'Bank' it for many years.

Deflect all you like, the truth is there for all to see and 13 years of tory corruption has done nothing to change it. It in fact is woirse now, notice the latest law changes to help dirty and poison our rivers. No wonder the tories wanted out of Europe. Britain is becoming the sick and dirty man of the G7.
