In a choice between a proven tory, whose beloved party in government has broken sewage pollution laws on thousands of occasions and a peer reviewed report, I know what one I'd believe. After all, there are lots of clever tories in London who would be up in arms if they disagreed with the idea and I've not seen any big fuss about it.

I am not aware of any release to dispute the reports findings. Obviously the daily flail would have done something if it could. If you have any, maybe you should post them, otherwise it's just more unsubstantiated words.

As I said, it's up to the electorate, their houses will possibly go up (or not drop as much) in value, and it's common sense to see that fewer children will develop asthma etc . Unlike the HS2 or other built projects, it is reversible by the voters and a product of democracy in the first place, I'm all for informed democracy.

Now, I don't expect a tory to value the lives of others over a few quid in their own pocket, after all, they are destroying the NHS, a life saving low cost per treatment Labour invention. But these are the other numbers...I suppose it depends how much one values those lives. Why is it called "The Nasty Party"?
