Financing needs sorting to progress, that much is obvious. If it’s to be a placing so be it but any level after a perceived failed JV will be hammered by the market. It may well be something better than was on offer like an off take as mentioned earlier. If Lonny is just happy as he knows it’s coming I probably would have preferred he stayed quiet until the RNS. If it’s setting up a placing the trust is going to erode. The problem with everything is noise other than the hydrocarbons, is that the financing noise is deafening at the moment.
It starting to smell like getting ahead of financing other than a JV. As someone said earlier, all it’s doing is creating a bit of volume for traders. Get an RNS out if there’s news.
It does look like Lonny has come out swinging. I don’t remember too many bods doing that prior to good news when a JV announcement is due. Hopefully news at 0700
I’m not sure he’d need to be too quiet about Ireland or Trinidad but we are awaiting news of a JV in Morocco so surprised he’s gone there today if there was a definitive yes or no regarding that, I’d expect an RNS either way.
You’d think he’s stay quiet until they released an RNS, on the other hand he’s been quiet for ages and suddenly he’s releasing all this. JV incoming or momentum for a placing? Somethings coming
I didn’t float the idea of going it alone. My opinion is, as a reply to the previous posts, it wouldn’t be as good news as some were saying, should the JV fall out of bed and PRD go to the market for finance.
If two entities a have done due diligence for a JV and PRD do a raise to go it alone, even if only for MOU4, PRD will be looking at another horror placing which PG has a history of doing. People getting the spin out early that’s it’s a good thing if the JV doesn’t get done is telling. If PG can’t get it away at half decent terms in the current climate then it was never happening.
If that money was to come via a placement prior to a JV wouldn’t the market take that as not being able to get the JV away and placed at a fairly low price? If that was the plan wouldn’t they have financed it prior to initiating JV plans?
The ramping of this stock is shameless at times but at least some posters are consistent. The switching of some is disgraceful. This will either come good or it won’t, but have some balls.
RE: Quiet reflection on this mornings RNS29 Jun 2022 10:13
I have no need to sell so can wait for tangible news rather than intentions. Until then this will just trade in a range. This is a typical PG RNS and a typical response to it. Anyone here longer than five minutes shouldn’t be surprised by it. Should be able to get the JV away surely.
The only thing of near term consequence is the JV prospect for Morocco. Everything else PG says is the same stuff that always gets spouted, since I’ve been invested anyway. If he’s struggling to get any traction in todays environment it was never achievable before the recent ‘energy crisis’ The reward is high though if he gets it away and for that reason the risk reward is worth it, for me anyway.
I’m not sure why anyone is surprised. The only thing PRD has done of substance since I’ve been invested for two years is the one drill that remains untested. These were only the accounts though, let’s hope the Morocco joint venture comes to something. Trinidad has gone full circle and off it starts with all the hype again.
If settling will wipe them out they may as well drag it out as long as possible knowing prd don’t want the time and cost. This will rumble on. It may turn into something in the future. Be wary of PG stating positive developments coming. So far it’s been a white paper with the company’s opinion on what a government ‘must’ do and legal action to get £600k costs back in T and T. Morocco JV needs to come in. There does seem to be more urgency on all fronts recently though, that can only be a positive thing.
RE: Trinidad Update RNS - FRAM Loan7 Jun 2022 08:27
Unless this brings them back to the table for settlement this will rumble on for a long time and be a distraction for a relatively small amount. PRD should get their loan back and possibly small damages but forget about $100m. Let’s hope for successful JV negotiations as Morocco is where it’s at short to medium term.
I wasn’t talking about take over activity. Ho hum, let’s hope there’s not a takeover anytime soon with the one well drilled to date, still awaiting testing.
Suspend so shareholders have more time to digest a circular? I agree if it was intra day but not if out of hours. We shall see should news of such magnitude ever come about.
The share effectively suspends everyday when the market closes. Unless there’s a leak and the price starts running away prior to news, I don’t see suspension serving any purpose. If it’s re rating news the market will be as orderly or disorderly when it starts trading again, regardless of when.
