I'm not quite following the logic of the derampers. The so called 'big boys' who bought the placing shares at 10p are now flipping for a 15% loss even though they bought in on the promise of the spud which happened on time? Why would they do that?

The fact is this share looked a great bet around the last placing price of 10p. Fully funded for 6 well drills and the first spud to be announced. The spud landed and the share has retreated. Sell on news. That's the unpredictability of AIM for you, fundamentals are so often overridden by sentiment and sentiment cannot be researched or predicted. It's pot luck.

Eventually fundamentals do take over and this share will recover for sure. Many will be waiting on the sidelines trying to guess the best buy in point.

2848 million are the number of Alba shares in issue.

On 24 May Spreadex held 218M shares, on the 29th May they held 190M, and on the 27th June 129M.

Anyway the sp should be 4 times higher than it is if it was moving upwards pro rata to UKOG. A healthy re rate around the corner.

Yes i read the relevant RNS and noted it took them a month to reduce their holdings from 6.69% to 4.55%. Seems a bit of a stretch for the remaining 4.55% to be offloaded in a few trading days although i realise the trading volume has picked up considerably.

Should be getting another TR1 then stating they are below the 3% threshold.

They bought hundreds of millions of the placing shares at 0.3p and have been happy offloading them at a small loss in order to keep the sp from rising because someone placed a spread bet that the sp would rise? Is that legal?

Why? Because YA keep selling into any rise as do the recent placees. This is the result of big time dilution. You can't keep issuing cheap shares and expect the lucky few to hold on to them.
