- with the fact that nearly all the oil majors (and more) employ Indian Labour. The India-Gulf region is the second-largest migration corridor in the world. Of the nearly 31 million non-resident Indians (NRIs), an estimated 8.5 million are working in the Gulf.
You also major on the SFO fiasco and decry PFC for fraudulent behavious (well in the past in case you forgot) and yet state:

Astaris seem to be leading this chase, - started off on the 25th at 0.53%, increased to 0.79% on the 28th and again to 0.93% on the 29th.
HOWEVER, just for a moment look across at Wood Group, and run simple comparison to put price drop into a little bit of perspective - PFC 5 yr -80% (WG -82%); PFC 3yr -79% (WG -65%); PFC 2yr -45% (WG -56%); 1yr -23% (WG -35%) PFC 1 week -18% (WG -19%)
My point - stop panicking, it's just fodder for the shorters, it's not the end for either of these outfits (and to put my money where my mouth is I've just topped up another 2k, 2453 shares @81.5p

and to top it all off a new shorter joined the party on the 25th, Astaris, with 0.59% short - (don't know if they already had a short holding and have just increased increased or not )

Just topped up £1000 @£1.43, good enough for me

Stop looking at the price movements on a daily basis JG and worrying about what are 'normal' (in these times) movements. As Poker says, no point in getting so frustrated, it's acting like a day trader and this, as you are well aware, is NOT a day trading share!
In the last year we are 13% down - you like to compare with Wood Group - well, they are 28% down, and other stats fare well in comparison. Hunting doing much better - so what? buy some HTG then!
You seem to have confidence in PFC for 2023, so give it arest and wait and see

Who knows what's going on but I still believe the shorters are in total control here, they've been very active over the last week.
Let's hope a bit of positive momentum will last the day/week and we should hopefully see a few more closing

Don't really see where you're coming from JG, esp.with these simple selected comparisons. Hunting are +5.95% in last month, Wood +11.16% in last month, PFC +10.16% in last month - PFC compares pretty favourably there!

These daily price movements are just normal.
Instead of getting all upset and isolating PFC why not spread your risk between all three, I have for sure

GLG slowly been reducing their short since beginning of Oct, likewise with PFC, (accounts for some of the rise in both recently - sign of things to come? - hopefully)

Don’t be so hard on yourself JG, or Petrofac. Wood Group are coming from further behind, you can’t just refer to last 10 days!
Wood Group are 39% down over 6 months and 13% over 3 months, compared to PFC who are 23% and 6% down respectively over same periods!

right on Kirti - this share is totally in the hands of the shorting companies at the moment and there's not a lot can be done about it without big contract landing.
