If an offer needs to be the highest price paid within a 12 month period it is currentley 51p, but if he waits till after 30th Jan 2019 then it is 32p. I don't think he would offer 50p

If Mike Ashley wanted to buy the other 70% of shares what sort of offer would he need to make ? I'm sure there are a lot of shareholders that hold shares at far higher sp than current price. Would he need to offer over 20p ?

If he only wanted some of these stores to change the best locations into Sports Direct stores then why not just let House of Frasier finish and then approach the owners of the empty stores and lease them ? he could of just picked best locations and negotiated lower rents.

They have 59 leased stores across Uk and Ireland. Where are the £960 million assets ?

He isnt even keeping them as the same House of fraser stores, he is just going to change them to Sports direct shops or Flannels. What adds up to nearly a billion £ in assets ?

I agree with Wigan. There is nothing wrong with TW apart from the share price. The business is good, good profits and 525 million quid sat in the bank.

I hope the price holds onto todays gain, at the moment I feel quite lucky that I bought at 171.9 this morning.

They are building 681 units on that Royal Mail site, so if they start at £600k I would imagine they can make a few quid for us share holders.

I think one of those plots was an old post office site ? Even if TW didn't want to devolop those sites I am sure the value of the land hasn't gone down.

I agree that used property offers much better value and you tend to get more garden space. I live in a 1959 built 3 bed semi and it is bigger than a lot of new 3 bed detached. I personally do not like the construction of new builds, ie: flimsy stud walls etc and tiny gardens. BUT i think the younger generation of new buyers coming into the market to buy their 1st homes much prefer a new build to a used house.

Look what happened to Barratt last year after Divi and look what has just happened to TW this year after special ex-divi day. Last year I sold half of my Barratt before Ex-divi at 680p, this year I will sell all.
