How much graphite have Alba sold? And how much profit did they make selling it?
What reserves? Looking for gold starts next month, and hopefully they will find some (lots) but at the moment zero x gold price is still zero. Lets not get ahead of ourselves too much. At the moment its a speculative punt, don't order the mansion yet!
@rustvaar. I agree with you, that if you are an established cash rich business that yes you can control the supply and be strategic. Alba is not in that place at the moment, with years of loses behind them.
"how much gold to supply to the market." Right, so you think they have the cash reserves to mine the gold, and then hold it back to try to control the price? Have a look at their accounts. They desperately need sales, any sales.
"Clogau gold carrying a 3x premium due to rarity, scarcity and desirability, all royal wedding bands made from Clogau gold from Queen Victoria, Princess Diana, Kate, Megan. Etc."
Yes, so what does working a mine with hopefully lots of that gold do to the premium for rarity and scarcity? A little more joined up thinking might be needed.
Its dropping back again, so don't rush to lock in high prices.
Sparkyfly - I put a small amount in them, as a gamble.
The presentation was excellent. So I took a look at their last accounts. There is no sales in there. I would expect at least one of their projects to actually have something to sell?
Just a thought about the 3.5x premium for the gold. That is because it is currently a closed market, no new Welsh gold. If they find some, it seems unlikely that it will retain its premium.
As I write. Tullow + 2.41%, Premier + 2.56 Shell + 2.61, BP + 2.38. That seems more consistent to me.
Seems totally manipulated and fake to me, and I say that with no vested interest in this share.
Fortune favours the bold! But personally i'm keeping my powder dry as this doesn't feel like the bottom, i think the whole market will go lower than March's low.
Bully: Yeah I think we are a long way from an entry point from any oil stocks at the moment. Even BP and Shell seem to be down every day.
I don't have any shares in this company, but I have been looking for businesses that seemed to be doing well last year and before that and have been hit hard very by Covid. This one is on my list of potentials to research and follow.
Is there actually a chance of this going to zero aka bankrupt? Or is it becoming a brilliant opportunity to buy cheap for those who are looking for bargains?
I wondered if this would go Tullow. Too low.. Get it? But seriously, its now cheaper than Tullow!
So looking back with hindsight, what would you say you did wrong?
