It's great PR Kenny but doubt it will resonate outside of its captive audience. But can see funds who would be interested in investing in socially aware companies looking at Zam. Whether we would qualify as an ethical investment I dont know. S.African mutual funds I'm sure would be interested if not already invested. I expect outside of the IC... comment will be negligible to zero in the UK broadsheets who will be looking at Vodas next 0.125 rise as their lead for the day.

Penny beginning to drop what a great deal the board pulled off with CDC! Forget the seller's they have no interest in Zam's longterm future. Finn Cap upped their forecast to $22.1m (£17m) in Sept with a slight increase in debt to $44m..(storing wheat crop)....easily manageable. On FC numbers...Eps c 5.7p. PE 3x ebita or c 7x pre tax still cheap! For a fast growing co it's derisory.

45...now! Very keen to see how Zampalm has progressed this year. At least the PO price is off the $400 lows. Had NBPO and REA back in the day when the PO was up in the $800 range. This little Zam is truly a fabulous well diversified company with potential to supply all of Zambia cooking oil needs as well as neighbouring countries. Must be the best bet in all of S.Africa if not the whole of the continent! Can't say the market are not in a generous mood offering 50p+ for 18p! Am so sorely tempted to add.

Morning rev LOL you crashed the Lusaka stock exch! Nice one!!. Doubt much trading goes on there in Zam stock somehow. How much ff do you think is out there? Kenny did a list and from memory looked like 40% was ff so 120m floating? That's plenty imo! Next Friday all will be revealed. PS I'm in a real small tiddler as you are. Zam in comparison might just as well be a ftse stock!

You have to go back to 2014 to see any buy over 18 and then it was all down hill thereafter. With Zam's trading and prospects hugely changed since CDC's involvement and a material uplift in trading soon to be announced we should blow past 18!

If we get lucky can we expect a rerate of the sp? I guess there will be a relief rally to 77 ish that this has finally been laid to rest. Doubt much more as it might already been priced in. The pools sale would have taken us towards 90 ish but that's a goner now, our last hope of being taken over resting with either Betfred or over the pond. Don't hold your breath!

Will the Supreme Court overturn the unanimous decision of the Court of Appeal? Methinks not, for to do so would make a mockery of the judicial system and prolong this farce past 10 years! Common sense says the SC will rule in favour of Spo for surely every argument for and against has been debated in court over the years. Unless HMRC has new evidence to support their appeal (& why was it not presented to the court at the last appeal?) their chances look slim. If you put your faith in the law even as arcane as the interpretation of vat (game or not?...skill or chance? etc....) your a braver man than me! This should be the end of it and while i don't think the SC will take that into consideration (length of case) their decision will.....fingers crossed!

As a matter of interest I read recently (don't hold me to the figs) that the ftse div cvr was around 3+x 6 months ago but had fallen to less than 1x recently, implying firms are paying out more to shareholders than they are making in profits. Granted Zam's cash flow might sustain a div paying policy but is it worth the risk? Our new investor might be pushing management for a payout but with debt interest as well it's a swerve imo.

Yes rev...as I said it's a trade-off, besides whoever heard of an AIM small cap paying dividends? The more I think about it the less i like the idea. No keep the cash in our account I'm sure we can use it more profitably than to boost some faceless funds div pay out ratio. If they cannot do a DCF calculation on Zam better move on.....to Voda!

Absolutely DD77...it would attract new funds seeking income as long as the fund articles allow them to do so one would think a boost to the sp would follow? Once on the divi path it becomes a matter of honour to sustain the div thereafter. IIS need a reliable flow of payments and investing in a Zambian food conglomerate might be seen as too risky with an unreliable dividend record as a possibility. That's extra pressure on management when paying the twice yearly dividend becomes the most important thing. I guess it's a trade off but I'd like to see a build up in the div cover to at least 4x before we start dishing out our hard earned coin. My guess? Not this time round.

Morning rev...never been much of a dividend seeker i prefer to see the money reinvested in the business as long as it adds value! However the iis may disagree as most are income seekers. The bod could offer holders shares in lieu of a cash payout I'd go for that.....perhaps? But c £300k (1p div) would be a used as additional cash flow for Zam.
