We are going to need the nos re Zampalm fleshed out a lot more so perhaps in the Annual Report a fuller explanation will be forthcoming. Whatever this division will be a big profit earner for Zam in the future. I believe Zam is the only palm producer in Southern Africa so ideally placed to service Zam & surrounds future needs of cooking oils and other requirements. Let's put it this way i'd rather invest in Zambeef with palm oil interests than say EPA in West Africa.

Need to see Zam close at or above 20 today.......no roundophobia here please! I know of one investor who will never pay on a 10/20/30/etc....number. Quite illogical. However..., It's worth remembering we were told of the material increase to the full year some weeks ago and we have risen c 17% since. So don't expect fireworks on Friday as the 'news' will prompt the 'rumour' buyers to cash out.

I looked back at some of my old Annual Reports of NBPO and a GP of 60%+ was not unusual. They had to contend with very heavy rains during the rainy seasons which stopped production, washed away roads & bridges..etc which might not be the case in Zambia. Rev will most likely know.

Any idea when Zampalm is scheduled to start producing? Generally around 4 years from the seedling stage the palms would be ready. Luckily it looks as though Zampalm have had no forest to fell and plant which is a massive saving in costs. Very labour intensive in maintaining a top notch palm estate apart from the husbandry aspect! We might be catching the rise in the palm oil price now c $662 if near the cropping stage? Huge markets await for Zampalm of which cooking oil for Zambians & others would be the main use.

Tote Ireland (18 tracks) renews long standing contract with Spo Racing & Digital division. R&D was the highest revenue earner for Spo last year some £34m so a vote of confidence in SPo's Quantum technology (the most widely used) by race tracks. Adds on to the contract will include maintenance etc..

No doubt CDC was a paradigm shift in the co's fortunes which the market was slow to price in so while profits and prospects look bright for 17 it does not follow that the sp will track the uprated newsflow. Fear it will be a slog to move into the 30's. I hope I'm wrong!
