Mrkt Cap £25m well overdone if your holding long term. Given the assets which the mrkt never bothers with especially in far flung countries almost persuaded me to re-buy for a few quid. However given the lack of interest cannot commit here even at 5 a share which is utter nonsense, I know..... Because much better opportunities exist elsewhere, even among dirt cheap o...lies throwing off bundles of cash. Retired Banker I hope you outed at 9ish, else your trapped here for a very long haul. Not a stock to average down imo. This requires a huge leap of faith in too many variables for my liking so best of luck to those still holding.

I don't entirely buy the Board view...buybacks are detrimental to shareholder liquidity....
It certainly didn't hinder BH
shares soaring over the years from practically zero, well ($7.50) to $306k per share.
He never split the stock despite the mamoth share price and to this day there are less than 2m in issue of which he owns c.282.6k shares though he regularly gives away his A stock so his holding might not be 100% correct at this time.

In a sop to investors he created a class B stock at 1/30th of the A in 1996 and then in 2010 a 50-1 split sent the ratio to 1,500th, which made them more marketable. Even so
BH 'B' shares are considerably less than G and yet again despite the smaller issue it does not detract from investor interest or liquidity.
Perhaps this is partly explained that BH attracts the long term investor while G the more fluid investor which imo has not been detrimental to liquidity.

A rising share is just as likely to attract sellers to fill buyers appetite while the mrkt size may vary from time to time has liquidity dried up or will it?

If you want to vote Labour and God knows many will be considering just that, think on a moment.
Firstly its likely to be a far cry from the Labour Party of yore, more now a radical left wing Govt with anti wealth policies, increased taxation and possibly wealth controls who most certainly will bind us into a customs union whereby Europe will retain control.

The small print in a customs union is too awful to contemplate as it's likely to hinder deals with the US owing to EU legal alignment.
