I'll try, succinctly put I think it can be summed up as “slow and steady will win the race but short and quick won't do the trick”.

No I think some people are having a problem with premature excitement and departing too early.
Their partners may be very disappointed ?

Was that 2.5m trade a sell ? 0.85 at 12:49 could quite possibly be a buy and that would mean just 3 trades for a combined 4.5m shares have been shown as sells when they are buys.
That would completely change the buy sell ratio and might make the market move the Ask to 1.00.
Why is the market so keen to make it look like we're not buying ?

I don't think so HL ask now is 0.85 and bid is 0.81 so once again the spread and midpoint are way off and the buy sell figures are pure c*ap.
Don't believe what you see the figures are skewed in completely the wrong direction.

Show the ask as 0.85 and Bid as 0.81 so my money is on the 2 large trades at 0.85 being buys inadvertently misreported as sells.

Not selling, still holding (1.5m so small beer to some - not for me though) and if the traders get their way and drop the sp enough I will top up , again.
Meanwhile the farmout looks nearer than ever and I see no point in rocking the boat although I agree cutting a salary by x and awarding yourself 4x in shares doesn't exactly look like cutting costs, or protecting shareholders interests.

I notice the charts are eerily similar today - not sure why, they aren't reflecting movement in oil or gas prices as far as I can see so not sure why they are moving down in step unless someone somewhere knows something ?

500,000 trades maybe Majedie. There are others for 358,000 and 621,000 for example which suggests that if its Majedie they have lots of time to waste trying to cover their tracks, or maybe its just a day trader taking a (small) profit ?
Whichever way you look at it loads more bought than sold ( it seems ), the sp going down isn't what you'd expect ?

AEX never seems to do what you might, reasonably expect. Maybe a strong finish tomorrow ?

fjones you are right and that is what I have been doing, Bought in Feb 2017 ( on the spike at 5.95 ) having watched AEX for about a year beforehand. Averaged down to around 3p then waited until fairly recently, buying some occasionally. In the last couple of months I've more than doubled my holding to 1.55m shares getting the average down to 2.08. Now, with a little luck a profit is in sight but I've put in as much as I want to for now ( unless the sp retreats yet again, which I sincerely hope it does not).

I agree with you Sambo. Wait two years for the licence, which is excellent news and then watching the day traders wipe out the gain for a quick few % really p*sses me off.
Hopefully they'll go elsewhere and leave the real gains for the LTH once they've p*ssed all over our party.

Fair point but IMO ( fwiw - which is probably not much ) you sold way too early.
That said a profit is a profit so fair play. Me, I'll hold until I pass my ave (2.08) - then I might consider selling some to derisk as like many others I'm overexposed after averaging down since 2017.
The intention would be to hold a more reasonable number of shares and hope for a decent profit from that point.Lets hope we all get there - it looks possible given we were at 2.43 not long ago.

Ever played Blackjack ? Your trade ( £1750 profit ) ? wiped just about that much off the value of my ( and many others ) holding.
Was it really worth it ? All you did was give the broker half what you had - and the rest of us did.
