In my case I was visiting a garden centre and some friends. Lovely surprise - but not the first ( or I suspect the last ) time SXX has been so volatile.

My take is that the 21:40's were buys at or after close and the others barring the +361k -361k at around 0917 are late reported,reasonably large buys, made at various times during the day. Including the UT these come to around 3m shares, which makes you wonder why with roughly equal buys ans sells the sp went down at all ket alone so much.
Unless of course ypthe sustained 500,000 blocks and the occasional 1m or 3m sells at strategic times (10:00 and 14:00) had a disproportionate effect. No idea why that would be but suspect that it suits the market for some reason, Certainly didn't improve our day. Tomorrow will be interesting if inly to see what gapoens next, a sugpdden bounce ? More of the same nonsense we saw today ? A change in short positions ? Or even an RNS ! Watch this space.

I suspect you're right although only 1 very snall change of -0.01% on the fca site today. Tomorrow may be different.
The link between big sales and sp drops at 10:00 and 14:00 is irrefutable IMO.
Traders (if so remarkably well coordinated) or MM's, or someone else ?
I do know about 16 or 17 trades accounted for half of all the sales. Just not sure who has pockets deep enough or why they would want the sp to reset to Monday levels, unless they are shorting ?

is it just coincidence that there were 12 trades of exactly 500,000 shares in a 2 hour period followed by 1 of 3,000,000 a minute or two later ?
Then 3 x 1,000,000 sales in 4 minutes just after 14:00 ?

12M of them in 2 tranches. One of 11 trades this morning from 8 uniyl 10 = 9M Shares and 3 this pm = 3M Shares.
Not your usual PI TRADES ?
