Tried yesterday PI and managed to scrape 100 extra shares and £90 in cash.
Hoped for more if I'm honest but the sp held at 1.05 and I decided to buy back in.
Looked like a good decision at first today but if I'd held my nerve I could have bought back in now with 300 more shares and a little more cash.
You also have to watch the sp like a hawk - not sure it’s worth it, although a 100 shares and £90 in cash every day would be a reasonable wage for a weeks work if you could do it 5 days on the trot.
Of course there may be an opportunity at month end with the trading update, but Sod’s law says that is when we unexpectedly get DHSC resolution and the sp rockets while you're out, decisions, decisions, - maybe a 59/50 split ? Good luck anyway. We all need it.
I hoped somebody would come back with something optimistic to say about a likely trading update at end of January ( which is expected ) and gp has been bloody disastrous for the last 2 years.
No such luck so I'll wait until nearer the date before topping up/averaging down/doing anything.
Microgen stuff is interesting - but probably just reflects people and expertise jumping ship, not a good look and possibly more very bad business decisions ?
What are the chances if another “trading announcement” late Jan 2023 ?
Given the disastrous news 2022 and 2021 are we due another calamitous update this time or can we look forward to some positive news ( or nothing at all ) ?
HMG trying to cover its backside, alleging Medpro underperformed.
Medpro to contests vigorously on the grounds that it supplied to contract and it was clear the government had vastly over ordered.
Are things finally starting to unravel for HMG ? Or are Medpro and Mone in trouble ?
Could this be good or bad for NCYT - any thoughts ?
Cannot believe the dispute is taking so long to resolve.
I appreciate the DHSC HMG have no interest in an early resolution but NCYT should be pushing for evidence to be submitted by them or moving to have the case dismissed because no evidence has been produced.
It’s not like the situation could get much worse - 80% in 12 months.
Some effort to market worldwide and activity on mergers and acquisitions wouldn't hurt either.
My wife has kidney failure and dialyses 3x weekly. She has a test every Mon and Friday and has done since testing started ( at first testing Mon Wed and Fri ), which changed to twice earlier this year.
Everybody is masked and no visitors are allowed on site ( I used to help my wife into and out of the unit until Covid started, but now I'm only allowed to drop her off and pick her up from outside the unit.
I have (yesterday) sent a short and terse note to IR asking them to pursue the DHSC proactively and for their comments on the sp and mcap drop, since last year, which they seem unable to stop.
Not expecting a reply but if I get one I will share.
Given the low sp surely the company could indulge in a massive buy back, ( half the shares would cost less than half the cash at hand ) ?
They could lift the sp just by buying 100,000 shares a day for weeks on end.
less than 1/6 of 1% of the number of shares in issue drops the sp 5.6% ?
Really ?
Someone made a 100% on their shares but there no need to panic about it - they may have timed it very well given imminent expected news.
So why not use a chunk of the £100m to get a damned good KC and push the government/DHSC as hard as we can.
Given the constant drop in sp which ou could argue has cist us Tens or even hundreds of millions so far a few more million on a a very good KC would be well worth it.
72p Sheesh.
Especially as many are vulnerable or disabled and the current process is anything but friendly to those with problems if this type. My stepmother 86 years old offered a booster in Plymouth 40 miles away. My wife ( a wheelchair user ) offered a booster on a vaccine bus or a couple of pharmacies in towns several miles away none wheelchair friendly. 119 advice try again later.
All at the behest of HMG via DHSC who seem intent on destroying this company and several others in UK diagnostics. - ABDX, GDR, ODX.
If there is one lesson in this it has to be never do business with a Tory government, especially one as venal and corrupt as the present bunch.
