Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Excellent Q&A today lots of info gleaned! DC was very careful answering my question about the coincidence of live nation owning F1. However he alluded to live Nation already being our touring partner in US and having links with him in Korea. He was clear in stating that Live Nation do not create businesses but buy them ! For example reading and leeds festivals. They own almost every major festival on the planet! It was also stated that kpop tickets within an hour of release were on secondary markets for 500 euros each!!!
BTS sell £2m worth of merchandise per evening on each show. Whilst we won’t be at that level for kpop flex we get 75% of event merchandise sales and 100% of online sales. No small figures here. Market will wake up when the revenue starts to generate!
Interesting how live nation own part of F1 and Ticket Master! Do they want kpop and formula e added to their events programme? As DC always says join the dots. We know live nation want to bring kpop to the UK so who knows…….. join the dots
Dasalus you are spot on. Lvcg will be getting a % of all the e fest rights at other venues. The market is clearly missing this along with fact they get a monthly fee for the cancelled e prix. So actually getting paid to do nothing this year! Sounds like a win all round.
Yes MB I guess some people are not invested anymore but still post on bulletin boards pretending that they are. Plenty of sad weird people happy to comment on shares they are no longer invested in. Takes all sorts I suppose. Maybe I’ll sell up and invest in the sewer that is Echo. No perhaps not…….
Personally I don’t think the postponement of the e prix to 2023 is an issue. They need to get the track right for a 10 year commitment. Rushing it and having manpower shortages re designing the roads during covid could cause an inferior track to be produced.I know people in formula e and my understanding is that hosts of other e prix locations get paid a hefty organising fee per annum and this can be taken in stage payments during the year prior to the race. A pure guess on my part but an organisation fee of half a million wouldn’t be out of the question. Multiply this by 10 years gives a 5 million total. Not bad in my opinion. Add to this advertising and sponsorship gives a pretty hefty income. The video from Alberto Longo clearly states that the sport is eager to get to Cape Town which is a sporting mad city as we all know.
Let’s be honest at under 5p this is a steal and investors here will be handsomely rewarded in due course. The formula e, e fest events and kpop concerts are at no cost to LVCG but the revenues are likely to be high. The majority of investors are not linking LVCG with e movement holdings which is 100% owned by LVCG. Take a look at ian Banners cv who is heading up e movement. He’s working for some seriously big hitters, been involved in F1 and was the co founder of the Alfred Dunhill Golf Tournament.

This a no brainer at this price! No one is linking Bricklive to Formula e! Well they should be as will multiples of this share price within a year I think. Cape Town provincial govt are even putting money in to host the event with further cash for every return visit and there are 5 -10 years of this event to come! Interestingly I see Ian Banner who’s running the formula e side has an extensive background in Formula One. Interesting to note climate change conference to be held around the event and all this at no risk to LVCG!!
