When are we likely to get results of the Eskom Battery Storage test?

Anyone that thinks the the VRFB/Lithium debate is as simple as VHS/Betamax is way off the mark. There will always be a large mix of technologies and VRFB will be one of them. The question is will it just be a large scale industry, which it pretty much is already or will it become the utility storage option for many of the planned battery projects.

I suggest that the safety side of things will become a massive selling point as these systems become established. I'm sure those that are calculating the cost of Lithium per kWh aren't currently including the chance of fire and subsequent clean up and reinstalling a new system.

VRFB aren't new technology but they are a fledgling industry and will, I'm sure become the grid utility storage option of choice for many.

Furnaceb, just hold for a year and they'll be worth 4-8 times the value now. Easy!!

Renewable energy plays a prominent role in goals being discussed this year, particularly those promoting sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth (SDG8); taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts (SDG13); and promoting peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development (SDG16).

You’re right Brad, I only stayed invested and added here throughout those very dark days of under 2p because of some very intelligent posters who had the good grace to share their knowledge and understanding of what was going on.

There will now be people reading this board who will be in the same situation as I was then, over 50% down on my initial investment and it would be wonderful if they also had the benefit of some quality posting to keep their nerves in check.

@Chish, if the Eskom contract lands and BE are supply a large proportion of the expected battery storage I would be surprised if we didn’t see 100% rise from this point. Unlike other AIM shows I would expect it to hold.

This is one of those periods where the board are very, very busy. They will be closing out Vanchem and with that goes the plans they need to put in place to ensure the other kilns are put back into action as well as the hundreds and hundreds of things that are required when you take over a new business. Luckily they have recently done this so will be aware of the pitfalls.

I’m sure they are planning for Mokopane production and the mining right will drop just when they need it to, a bit like the Vametco transaction. Vanchem only has ore for another 12 months at it’s current production rate and Bushveld will want to ramp up production asap to feed the electrolyte business so they will have a plan and Fortune has stated that the ore will come from Mokopane.

I’m sure will shortly be hearing that Lemur has reached financial agreement and appointed an engineering, procurement and construction contractor. At some point after this Lemur will be spun off or sold. I’m hoping for a sale to JIRAMA.

Then there is what will ultimately be the jewel in the crown, Bushveld Energy. Mini grid installation, Demonstration VRFB with ESKOM and the construction of a electrolyte production facility are all on-going and take time.

I personally wish that the board would sing their own praises a bit more and publish a few more RNS to keep Bushveld in peoples minds but in reality I’m happy to sit and wait until the inevitable happens.

I share the frustration of many here regarding the stagnant share price. I have no doubt that things are chugging along nicely at BMN headquarters. Big deals take a long time to put together and all you have to do is be patient, buy if you can afford to do so because this will not last for ever.

Meanwhile we are making millions each month from Vametco!

Luckily our costs are so low we will still be making millions of dollars each month and the low price suits Bushveld Energy which our board expect to make 10 times the profit of Bushveld Minerals.

gkb - I think I’ll keep my shares that I have in the company that has managed to get the first Vanadium electrolyte leasing deal off the ground. Oh, yes, I’m sure they are going to also sell a coal mine shortly and get a licence for a mining right at a new Vanadium mine in the very near future.

Oh and also making a shed load of cash along with many other projects in the back ground. A £1 a share in the next twelve months is a quick windfall in my book!
