Inner Harmony posted some time ago that BMN was a classic double top and therefore very likely to fall, this had been noted on the TECA board. None of this crew were invested at the time so the only way that any of them could make any money on this was going short.

I often don’t agree with many who talk of shorting on a fairly frequent basis but with our big seller it was almost guaranteed that we would drop. I believe this is the second time in the last couple of years that there has been a concerted effort to short here. Some will get seriously poor if they are not out yet.

Waccybaccy, it is not a case of one technology or another. It is a completely different situation to video cassettes and as Vanadium is mined and will be processed into electrolyte in SA my bet is that VRFB will be the dominant technology there.

The article states that at the end of last year only 30% of Chinese rebar producers were complying with new standards. Most will comply by mid year and all by the end of 2019.

This is why V didn’t hold it’s rise in China. Expect big rises following Chinese New Year as plants come back on line.

The posts about who is selling are frustrating for me as as far as I am concerned it doesn’t really matter. Use this as an opportunity to average up (as I am doing) or average down. Days and days of more buys than sells means only one thing and that is when the MM run out of shares - BOOM!

It isn’t a simple swap. To use Niobium the steel plant would have to be reconfigured as a different process is used. This would be extremely costly and require downtime. The second factor is that around 90% of the world’s production comes from one mine and therefore no security of supply. Imagine numerous plants swapping over only for that one mine which has a monopoly suddenly raising their prices.
