Shares in cytodyn dropped significantly on news of the trial results.

'Shares of the company fell 13.5% following the news as the investors were not impressed with the results.' according to the report. Price has gone from $10 down to $4 since June 30th.

I have searched for Leronlimab and Cytodyn terms on the trials website and can only find a few phase 2 trials relating to Covid-19.

None of the trials are linked with remdesivir so we can categorically rule out this being the therapy Trump is referring to.

Interestingly Trump is better off at this stage against Biden in the polls than he was against Hilary Clinton at the same stage in the previous campaign.

Massive dilution, share restructure or something like a CVA occurs and the assets are sold off into a new company where you have no shares. Either way you fecked.

People have their timescales and facts wrong. SNG have done phase 2 trials which incorporated some elements of Phase 3. 15 years of work have gone into their treatment. They are likely to be fast tracked for approvals as the treatment has strong signs of success treating covid as well as COPD.

Hemo are pre-clinical/phase 1 so no where near SNG's development, these companies are not similar and so should't be compared in my view.

Agreed ive jumped in at 139. RNS had good numbers and Divi likely to return Q4 so would expect SP to recover over coming months. As you say GL the growth areas will suit this company with its deep Tory links.

Yes the trial is for another Interferon Beta drug Rebif but the trial is adaptive. Crucially other drugs can be added to the trial and different controls applied. So if required there is a ready made up and running trial for SNG001 to be added to.

Last night its highly likely Trump has referred to this very trial using a form of IFNB. He is mentioned he has no problem using a foreign companies drug if it beats the virus. Looking very likely Remdesivir and Interferons are the planned therapy going forward.

At some point the medical guys will ask SNG001 inhaled IFNB is it better/easier to use than injected Rebif?

As mentioned previously on this trial it is adaptive and can have other drugs added to it ' New arms can be introduced according to scientific and public health needs. There will be interim monitoring to allow early stopping for futility, efficacy, or safety. If one therapy proves to be efficacious, then this treatment may become the control arm for comparison(s) with new experimental treatments

So with this information the chances are increasing considerably that IFN-B and Remdesivir are his planned theraputic.

Nail on head Teddy100. The board are using the opportunity to reduce wages/costs etc knowing theres little the workers/unions can do during a pandemic. Get all the bad news etc out now.

Over long term from a selfish investor view its good for the company but crappy for the workers.

On the other side of the coin there are companies like SNG and AVCT who are producing potentially game changing theraputics and testing for Covid. Next couple of months we may see new tests that take a few minutes for results and an inhaler that has a good chance of treating covid.

So can we avoid the economic impact of a 2nd wave? I think the answer is yes, so think IAG will emerge eventually as a good rebound share.

For the near term the outlook is grim until more news of the testing/treatments come out.
