Hi jotom, indeed I own some shares here, my last buy was at 10.05, not many minutes before Barclays closed shop.
Where I live, 5 min drive from the Dorset coast, house prices were driven to ridiculous levels by second home owners from this country many years ago. If you take out the 8 council houses, as near as damn half the houses in this hamlet are weekenders( covid made many full time for a year or so). A friend, Penny, probably the first holiday home owner, one of the rare non-locals who is part of the fabric, has just sold her two bed room mud hut that cost her a whooping 9k 37 years ago for £672k. Unsurprisingly it has been bought as a weekend retreat by a non local.
I'm hoping my shares in this company will make gains like my friends house to give me a chance of buying my own mud hut.

It does not sit well with me that this fine country of ours sees fit to allow foreigners to purchase assets, and I'm pretty sure that buying a football club will involve plenty of scrutiny, only to force the disposal and forfeiture. Hope we don't fall out with the yanks.

Seems to me that the FCA are in control of our destiny. A company can't just shut the door here and relist elsewhere. I am thankful that we operate in I several jurisdiction's.
RA ,in having an Israeli passport,is well protected by the USA. The last time I looked Israel was still an American enclave in the middle east.

Can anyone here tell me what it is that Roman Abramovich has done wrong? Has he broken any laws in the UK? I understand some find wealth on his level unpalatable, I personally don't. That he and his equals prospered when Russia ventured into capitalism is frowned upon. Are they so different to Cornelius Vanderbilt, John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie or. Jack Ma.
We know who the problem is in Russia, seems to me that dragging these individuals into the arena is doing disservice to Russian people generally. If Putin is comfortable seeing images of dead civilians and scenes from his blitz, I don't think a word in the ear from RA is going to help.

Small penguin, so long as Europe continues to purchase oil/gas from Russia I personally feel any sanctions imposed on companies and individuals is a farce. The sanctions on oligarchs is unsettling for me, the UK had no problems allowing these people to purchase property/assets and collect any fees that came as a result. Funny how it's okay for Bob who drinks with his mate ,who just happens to be an MP ,in his local suddenly makes a mint out COVID-19.

indeed , Dog Fcuker Vlad P is allowing many to shine. The humility of the Polish ,in offering a home to those displaced is truly humbling ( in my eyes). but, the sp hasn't risen due to divi declaration as per norm. Unless you have been fortunate enough to have bought in recently , if the sp drops by divi amount there is high chance you will be selling at a loss. i am hoping there will be a huge reinvestment with divi windfall and a gain in sp.

Buy the share today,two days to settle, stamped with your name on it reg day and ,as someone else pointed out,you are effectively taking ownership at 50 pence of a share which would have cost over six pounds not so long ago.

Even allowing for the automated buy/sell mark errors there appears to be a ready supply or shares to purchase.
With this steady buying I'm surprised the SP isn't higher.

I don't suppose any of us know the answer and luckily there doesn't appear to be a resident font of all knowledge.
