I think it is the Covid hangup...... i think if we get news of the equip being in country and therefore a known timeframe to production the SP will begin to rise sharply again.... imo

looks to be just a promotion of a number of interviews recently carried out... nothing new.

But Shareprice should be significantly higher once the equipment is onsite and being constructed/commissioned.... Come on Covid, take the hint.... you are not welcome....

Bib, my first related post since the announcement of MOU and merely providing a possible explanation for the 6 month exclusivity period now.... which you are arguing makes it all look very Machiavellian. You clearly feel you are the chatroom Guru lol.

If you want to look for something iffy, then its todays RNS .... Now that the credit agreement is fullfilled (to the benefit of the Company and the Investors), Kodal take the decision to remind us all that the MOU doesnt mean we will are guaranteed to get financing through these guys.
They didnt have to remind us of that, I have not seen or heard any statement from BA that proposes that anything is in the bag and yet they release this. deflatory statement. But to me that reflects on the relationship with shareholders .... not the MOU just signed.

On the FS.... you know I agree with you that it is lightl for getting funding in the current market.... but if these guys do "buy in" then their internal risk assessment for Capital will be lower than say a bank's and their involvement will reduce the perceived risk for other sources of Capital.... so taking one scenario (that hadnt even appeared on the table until a week ago) that they do decide to work with Kodal on the project then that is an improvement imo...
the negative scenarios where we get to the end of the 6 months and still nothing.... well surely that is the same position we were in 2 weeks ago...no?

I think the exclusivity is in place for 6 months for a couple of reasons
1. because there is no significant rush if the resource squeeze doesnt kick in until 2022,
2. because Europe will be looking NOW to bolster their insufficient resource and Mali is not that far from Europe..... and has the French connection.

Ignore the current price of Lithium, if the supply chain gets its act in gear it will be pulling back to back agreements right through the supply chain.
Would not be surprising if China's goal here was to keep their current grip on their supplies to Europe .... by keeping them out of such "closer" potential resources.....
Even a weak FS (depending on the definition of weak) could be good enough when there are politics at play....
Just a theory....
If they didnt see some value in the current FS they wouldnt even have bothered to sign an MOU imo.... better to let European newbies waste their time kicking the tyres if they thought there wasnt an engine under the bonnet.

If that was the Loan Notes being converted and sold, we should have had an RNS by now to tell us. I doubt you can look past the smaller previous credit agreement ..... still 11billion shares in issue last time I looked.

That is a lovely chart gradient over the past month.... if the borders open and we get news of the plant moving to site I can see this reacting really well to that news..

Thats them made their profit on the remaining financial agreement... wonder whether they will hold the rest.....

Of course if the ML and OTA come in September then they might find they've lost their profit...... but ML and OTA in september just feels like wishful thinking at the moment...

Anyone read the shareprofit article on extract? its a publication behind a premium service so I havent read it but it alludes to exciting news beyond the Boa Esperanza news..... wondered if maybe there was the possibility of some more news this week. The Hard Rock Equipment crossing the border for example?

The minister hadn't signed it when she still had a seat but we have no idea how stacked her brief was at the time... or how long it sat in her in tray (1day/1 week???) nor if she had some motive to sit on it ...... Kodal have been in communication with the department and been told that it is just waiting on the signature.... I think you are reading between the lines to latch onto that particular negative, which is fine....

IVI, I was fairly happy with the report on the mining license application tbh. The main point being that they had communicated with the department and all parts of the application had been satisfactorily completed and the department had nothing else to do until the minister signed the paperwork. His understanding is that the next thing Kodal will receive is a communication to say that it has been signed and an invoice for the payment due. When the new minister gets around to being appointed.... and then gets around to signing it is another question.

On most of the other stuff, you are right, its just reiteration of what we already know..... and the request for a more detailed gold exploration program and spend profile, just got a - it'll be done by our in country team and it will be cheap.... so no detail there.

To be honest no change since Feb/March, apart from the lines of credit...... and the inevitable moving out of the production year.....

Could be pyo88, but there could equally be a run of RNS's every couple of weeks as there are so many work fronts opening now..... Fairbride equipment in country...... contractors onsite for the other 2 contracts..... first production on either of those etc.....

there is the good chance that steady news flow will keep this from dipping too much. here's hoping....
