Guys, sorry to drop into this discussion without digging in to do (my own) research on the status of these loan notes but I have the following question:
Has the loan been provided? If only the terms of the loan have been agreed but no drawdown made then there are no loan notes to convert....

They can force Xtract to drawdown on the loan so that they can convert. That would be an arrangement that I haven't seen before.
I would agree from many past experiences.... if loan notes are issued then it is best to consider them as dilution.... however if the money hadnt been taken ..... no such risk exists. Your bank doesnt force you to use your overdraft so that they can leverage the interest on it.....

Its not the debt conversion that tells you anything about the future of Kodal..... its just a better deal for the CLN holders than getting the interest and other payments..... its selling down all the shares that would be more telling, however not even as much as you think.
They can quite easily ignore a potential bag in 6 months for a 40% profit now because they have other deals in the offing. .... its a different game from us lowly PIs

On that basis, if the next Bushranger drilling RNS were to include details of the manica production levels and whether the recovered gold was 'in line with expectations ', we could see a shift in SP....

It is possible they won't sell all the shares at this stage and so the concern not so bad ... but I wouldn't put it past them selling some of their current stash to subdue the price and hence increase the # of shares they get when the remaining Loan Notes are converted.

The buys to sells are 2 to 1 however the volume is low.... so unless there is news coming out tomorrow, this is just noise.

I know, and it is only the last couple of weeks that we have started to hear noises like the guy is actually getting lined up to start to do his job.

I would agree it would have been better to have more of an update along the way..... I.e. we have been in touch with minister's depth this week and received assurances ....
In the meantime im more annoyed about the 2nd CLN drawdown with no prior communication as to its purpose..... or a clarification on status of the updated feasibility study....

Sorry if im sounding a bit condescending Daz, but of all the things Kodal have failed to keep us up to date with, I wouldn't have listed the lack of a minister as being in the top 10..... it was common knowledge.

Daz, as you know, BA clarified the work that has been progressed and completed was with the government agency....
He clarified that back at the Q&A when Mali was in the middle of a coup.... and the question had been raised regarding the application now showing as archived....

The body of the article has a lot of focus on developing benefits for the country..... through involvement of local firms.... lets hope it doesn't mean any revision to our submission..... time is getting closer.... some upward movement on the spodumene spot price in china last week could be pointing to this recovery being in 2021.... rather than getting pushed out further into 2022.

I get your point pops, however at the moment, short term I think there is so much already going on that Colin getting distracted wont hold things up.....
Manica, the Hard Rock project is 100% in the control of the mining contractor, who has fabricated almost all equipment and are now building the tailings dam.... so they are going to want to start generating revenue ASAP..
The alluvials and satellite concessions are all in production now or just about in production so nothing to hold back through lack of interest.

Bushranger first drill ongoing and unless I'm mistaken, it's a bit of a Pet project for Colin.... and should be starting to give initial feedback if not in 2 weeks, certainly early January.

So the potential is for a near term increase .... and unlikely that Colin being unfocused (either from his other companies or from too much Christmas sherry) can affect that.

It doesn't really matter. What was true with what he said is the drilling team will be contracted to complete the hole and therefore won't go home until its finished.... so if we don't hear by 24th, we can expect that we will have a bit of news before the new year....
These drilling teams are used to being in these situations around the holidays...

Colin does seem to be getting more and more excited as the news progresses...... Merry Christmas
