I suspect you're not much aligned with the author of the Zerohedge piece?
He wouldn't normally carry much weight in stock market discussions ;-)
The discussion on Angs has gone very quiet!
A useful trend? (Not sure the link will post).

In fairness, in geological terms there is proximity between Namibia and Uruguay so it's not so daft.
However being down 99.7% I would still be sceptical if I spotted Namibia detaching and floating West at speed!

Honestly, you've written more or less the same thing nine times in less than 24 hours.
And it contains little analysis.
Even if it chimes with all our hopes, it's still pollution after the first one or two.
Cut back please!
Thanks for posting Battle; heretofore I have been the Phoenix/Aminex poster but on the last occasion I was berated for posting negativity so I held back this time.
A word of caution though. A few years ago I posted their piece on Ormonde Mining which also projected a share value of £1, which delighted me, of course.
It seems his calculations were out by a factor of 10 and it should have been 10p. Unfortunately, that did not materialise either and within a year, ORM sold out for £5m cash and the shares have since tottered between 0.75 and 1.2p. I'm still holding ;-)
Overall though, this guy doesn't have a bad record and he's not a scammer.

First, I pay attention to, and value, your contributions on this and some other shares.
Second, if I owned a leg of a horse, I would consider myself an investor. If I put money on it winning occasionally, while having no influence on performance, I would consider that gambling. The latter reflects my relationship with JOG and other shares: I have no real interest in what becomes of them other than how it affects my "investment"! I would be happy enough for them to go belly up if I had switched from long to short in time. Others may have a more loving relationship with them but I think they are few enough.
Third, Britain great or otherwise does not bring me out in a nostalgic rash. I'm not a British citizen although as a youth I dug holes underneath 6 of your cities and my father saw out his teens as a colonial British citizen. He wasn't nostalgic either: they jailed his father and uncle!!
Finally, I can't afford to "gamble" and lose hundreds of thousands so I'm probably in a different league to many here, although I'm better off than the majority out there who actually produce something for the wages they're paid and pay more taxes than you and I do on them.
I think we should have the grace to recognise that for 40 years now the world has been run for the benefit of holders and manipulators of assets and at least not punch down on those who have few or none.
Apart from that, I didn't mean to give offence and wish you all the best!
"The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness."
John Kenneth Galbraith
I gamble (I can't say invest) in JOG and a few dozen other energy shares, so I'm not claiming any moral superiority on the climate-change question (although I agree with Greta) but does there have to be so many raving right-wing loonies ranting at the moon who also own these shares?
Is it not possible to just own and try to make money on them without having to peddle these uber-Trumpian rants?
Curious, and others who have identified outstanding land issues arising from the alleged Soum decision:
I take your reservations as in good faith but unless the RNS below is lying I can't see where an obstruction remains re land access and/or use (mind, I don't have much faith in companies which dismiss objectors as "a vocal minority").
"In late April, the Cabinet of the Mongolian Government issued a resolution directing the certification of exploration and exploitation licences by the central Land Agency such that local approvals on land use are not required. We are advised by industry regulator, the Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority of Mongolia (MRPAM), that this will allow work on all Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) areas to progress without land access delays whilst the planned amendments to the land law that will remove the current legal ambiguities pass through parliament. "

Re Mongolia reducing dependence on Russian oil:
I don't have any particular insight into Mongolia's position on this but I do know that the hyper interest in Ukraine is largely confined to the EU and the Anglo sphere: in essence, the 18 C empires and their (white) colonies.
Africa, Asia, the M-E and S America tend to the view: we've had/are having lots of wars and atrocities, most of which you've caused or contributed to, so we're not going to get over excited (and pay a price!) for a war that's distant from us just because they're pale-skinned blondes like you.
1) Sense
A compelling refutation of the Simpleton, and politely too!
2) I've heard enough of Simple in one day to outlast my investment here; he has now turned to green.
I would recommend that to others also or at least ignore him for a while. He has already messed up this board which had just got back to normal.
Irish
Would this be schadenfreude or just sour grapes? Anyway, I love it!
Me too ;-)
Why do people here never get excited about Yemen, Palestine, Uighur/China etc?
We're already getting saturated media coverage of Ukraine with a single perspective, could we have some escape here please?
