As already aludded to, Iraq IS NOT A MEMBER of NATO.
2010, still in not sold 1 share, seen it all
2010, still in not sold 1 share, seen it all
Ha just like the old days, 2 avatars arguing over who has the biggest c#@k.
Iits like that here every day. Fuel staions take it in turn to set their fuel prices low, so every swining dick goes there, if you note, they are all taxis, this is standard.
Sorry, yes fuel is up a fair bit also, around a doller a gallon from 87cents
Nothing of note from me, there's always petrol shortages in Erbil with cues miles long. There are demonstrations going on about lack of job opertunitys for the young, which have turned nasty, but again not unusual. Still getting request to bid on oil contracts in kurdistan for security all normal stuff really from what I can see.
I THINK.....if federal Iraq get there way, it would mean we go from a PSC to a TSC, that would be terminal for GKP. We need the KRG to hold out on any current contract, I've said it before and once again, the Kurds would rather go to war than giv up there oil. Long term, this is there only route to independence, insrined in thier culture.
Kurds **** sure of a good outcome, they really don't care how long that takes, but they have been here before and were let down when agreements were signed and sealed and not honoured. Without oil in Kurdistan, there is no Kurdistan, the story of oil is taught in schools and is part of the fabric. Kurds are back to the infamous King makers again and any new government needs the Kurds' backing, let's see if they can get the right people in this time. We are bidding on a load of oil sector contracts, so the oil company left here are just cracking on, Russians and Chinese are having an impact here also and obvious they are filling a void.
No company will head ti Kurdistan to set up shop and jeopardise the huge fields In federal Iraq. If you all remember, oil and service company's with current federal contracts have pulled out of Kurdistan.
I had a very interesting chat with a very influential chap in oil, all by chance, of course, the current situation will not change in the near to mid-term, I'm told it's all for show. Oil-linked companies and service providers that work in Kurdistan who have been told to pack up or be blacklisted in Iraq have done so with pushback,,, However,,,, new unknown companies are taking up their roles, and not surprisingly its the same staff with new coveralls, it's not a new concept, just smokes and mirrors. No lack of start-up service providers with staff and equipment ready to step in. One big game for above the table for the world to see, in Iraq and Kurdistan, its service as normal below the table.
All sorted now, I've found what I was looking for, thanks all for all your responses.
Thanks, everyone for all the info, I thought I knew most things, but every day is a learning day. Silly to waste a post, The largest US consul in the world is about 5-6 months from completion with a move-in date around July 2023. Erbil is still buzzing with new high-rise buildings. and the road it's built of is teaming with new supermarkets, flats and apartments ready for the arrival, it's about 5-8kl outside Erbil. The oil companies continue to tender out for services, my company bid on 2 last month, so they appear to be going nowhere, for now, it feels like a ramp-up in anyone's book. Been in this share since 2010, so I have a fair chunk of change under water, I've been up to the oil field, well as close as I could just out of interest. It's easy to travel around Kurdistan, people are friendly and Erbil is super modern. Happy to answer any questions if anyone wants more info.
Do you have any link or info that confirms that, not that I don't believe you, but I've been smashed with Tax issues before by word of mouth info. I've just looked on the internet and can't seem to find any direction. If it is true, I need to have a word with my accountant. I've been cashing in and buying back in my normal trading account.
Are you allowed to reinvest your dividend payments into your isa, even if you are maxed out your 20K?.
You might be right, and I hope so to be fair, Gazprom having an interest in GKP would not be a good thing right now.
Get pumping away, keep up the pressure on the FDP and upping our output is fine by me.
The link is attached, just google translate, I think this is just a case of poor journalism. I've been in Iraq and Kurdistan for 20 years working in and around this industry. This will not be given up, it's far too important for the survival of the country, its enshrined in its culture now. Some of you may remember when ISIS was kilometres from Erbil and I gave you all a running community about what was going on here, I was spot on the outcomes. Not to say I could be wrong this time.
The oil money is the only leverage they have to get their annual Budget, they ain't give that up any time soon.
All
No point in asking for a link, I'm not at liberty to do that right now, Shakan mentioned along side with Gazprom, very strange
Ministry of Oil sued Russian Gazprom and Emirati Dana Gas investors in Kurdistan
Economist Nabil al-Marsumi said that the Iraqi Ministry of Oil has filed lawsuits against the Russian companies Gazprom and Dana Gas of the United Arab Emirates, which are two of the most important companies investing in the oil and gas sector in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, in the framework of subjecting Kurdistan to the decision of the Federal Court, which obliged the regional government to hand over all the oil produced on its territory to the central government. Al-Marsoumi told Al-Murbid that it seems that we have entered a new phase, which is the prosecution of companies that are linked to oil and gas extraction contracts in Kurdistan, and the ministry started with the two most important companies, and Gazprom is one of the three largest Russian companies operating abroad, and is implementing four projects in Iraq, 40% in the Badra ceremony, and three of them in the fields of Kurdistan, namely the fields of Halabja, Kermian and Shakan, and the company owns about 40% of the concession of the Kermian field located in the field of Sargla. And 80 percent of the concession of the other two fields mentioned, he said, adding that the company annually produces more than one million and 200,000 crude oil.
He continued on Dana Gas, saying that it is in combination with the UAE Crescent Company, and invests in the natural gas sector in Kurdistan, specifically in the Khormur and Jammal fields, and produces about 80% of the gas in Kurdistan and covers the need of the electricity sector in the region and there are giant projects it is doing in the Khormur gas field and trying to connect it with a pipeline in Turkey. Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul Jabbar had earlier announced that his ministry is in constant communication with the Ministry of Natural Resources in the region with the aim of finding legal solutions to end the differences between the two parties within the federal constitution, in accordance with the court's decision in the lawsuit numbered 59/Federal/2012 and 110/2019 on 15/2/2022, which included the ruling to oblige the KRG to hand over the entire oil production from the oil fields in the Kurdistan Region and other areas from which the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kurdistan Regional Government extracted oil Surrender them to the Federal Government, represented by the Federal Ministry of Oil, and enable it to use its constitutional powers regarding oil exploration, extraction and export.
I think it's a lot of noise, your right in assuming the Iraq military lack of capability, It's a non-starter, so normal jogging continues I guess.
