Africa energy summit starts to morrow, Chariot speaking and presenting. Duncan speaking wed on subject of Is Algeria gas losing momentum.

At the very end of the article is a statement that Bp are looking gas projects to bring gas to Europe, in the short there is only one place to look. Morocco can bring gas to Europe very quickly.

Measures the seabed and its depth. Sometimes major seabed features indicate a deeper geological feature,such as faults or mud/ salt extrusions.

Chariot were awarded the rissana licence in Morocco which surrounds the lixus licence where chariot has proven up the anchois gas field and identified a further 4.5 tcf of gas.
Chariot report that they will be looking for follow on prospects in the rissana licence which have similar geology and seismic signatures to anchois.
The well Lbs 1 in the south of the licence is important because it found gas.

Note the area to the northwest of Lbs1 , in a very dark colour which indicates a thick sediment sequence, possible reservoir.
Interesting to learn if there are seismic direct carbon indicators here.

Note the map where the new proven source rocks are present, in particular how the oil source rock area is located in the west of two blocks north of the kudu field, one of which chariot has the right to back into for a 10% interest after a well is drilled.

Interesting that eco Atlantic in Canada have raised c$25 to drill in the orange basin in South Africa. They currently have a market capitalisation of c$135 million.
Chariots high potential exploration in Namibia and Brazil valued at nil in the last brokers report before the giant oil discoveries in Namibia.

Chariots project nour in Mauritania is planning to produce 600,000 mt of green hydrogen per year.
Cenkos broker valued the project on an unrisked basis at £0.84 per share and from memory .02 per share.
This was mostly before gas prices had rocketed and it was difficult to see the economics.
I previously posted that high gas prices would change that.

A further well in anchois is not necessary to prove up economic quantities of gas to bring the project into production.

I understood your comment, that if there was no interest post cpr then there would be an equity raise. The point I was making is there is likely to be farm in or takeover or debt financing interest.
We’re you assuming no interest from any of the above.

I don’t think another well is required to evaluate anchois, there are enough proven gas to be economic.
Once in production, chariot should use cashflow to drill out the rest of the licence.

I disagree with your analysis that a further well in anchois would need to be equity financed. Farm out is the traditional route If debt finance not available.
That’s why it’s important to note the appointment of Soc Gen as chariots lead banker.

Chariot website updated, in addition to anchois reserves the prospective resources in lixus have increased by 1.5 tcf to 4.5 tcf.

Hi jazzer.
The starting point for any valuation is the expected CPR on the new 2c reserves for anchois which I estimate at 1000 bcf and a high chance of success for anchois north 600 bcf and anchois west at 200bcf.
Based on 1000 bcf and $8 mcf I previously calculated anchois field had a value of £1.38 per share, plus a value for the satellite gas prospects and the rest of the lixus licence prospects of a further 3tcf ,
The directors are obliged to recommend a take over if it’s at fair value. So my guesstimate is a takeover would be successful at prices from £1.50 to £2.50
