I appreciate we have different views on climate change, but it is happening and the very big risk that’s not getting attention is the rise in sea levels.
The cop 26 meeting in Egypt is discussing a proposal to ban coal powered electricity generation in the developed world by 2030 and by 2040 in the developing world.
Most base load power generation is provided by coal, gas and nuclear , if coal is banned it will provide a long term support for natural gas prices .

We know that chariot now plan to produce 100 mmcf per day and the auctus report says 50% exported and 50% for domestic market.
Assuming a local low price of $8 mcf and an export price of $20 mcf , well below the forward price, gives an average price of $14 mcf.
Assuming chariot farm down to 50% licence interest and $40 million opex gives chariot an annual ebitda of £198 million for 17 years based on audited proven gas volumes.
The first ten years of production are tax free.

Chariot can be purchased now for 9.3 months future annual ebitda.

The pipeline from uk to Ireland is currently only configured to import gas from the uk, the cost of modifying the pumps to export lng gas from Ireland to the uk is substantial, I believe about €400 million.
While predator have certainly highlighted the opportunity to independent members of parliament it’s the governing political parties that count, and unfortunately not giving predator much attention.

It’s been 12 days since the rig was mobilised to a holding location ahead of drilling mou 2.
Hopefully we get an update next week when drilling and testing can start.

All countries need a base load supply of electricity and mr Ryan is relying on coal powered generation and imported gas from a single pipeline from uk for this supply.
Why burn dirty coal when it could be replaced by Irish gas from near corrib, if only the minister would facilitate exploration near a gas pipeline.
Seems like dirty coal is preferred by the green minister.

The fact that predator report they have not had a response from the relevant department in 2.5 years is really not a good sign.
What is more relevant is that the minister has finally issued a licence extension for an area near corrib to Eog.
Predator have a similar livence extension request.

The interesting thing here is that the first small scale hydrogen producer listed on Euronext in may and has a market cap of €442million.
If chariot and Oort validate low cost electroylsers it’s a win win for project nour with its very low costwind and solar power .

The significance of to days announcement is that chariot are facilitating the building of a pilot plant to evaluate Oorts patented technology for low cost electrolysers and are just contributing management time to the project, but more importantantly this will go down very well with government
The minister for energy gave an interview in French a few weeks ago on both the gas and hydrogen policies for Morocco, so there is already a public comment on their desire to foster green hydrogen.
Green hydrogen is a long term project for chariot and it’s Mauritania green hydrogen project is currently funded by total Erin, so low cost to chariot.

This is an interesting pilot project for a new innovative patented technology to make hydrogen very competitive.
It positions chariot to bring green hydrogen to Morocco which is one of the key strategy objectives of the ministry of energy in Morocco . By setting up one of the pilot plants at a local university it further establishes chariot as a key energy provider in Morocco.
This will go down very well in Morocco and bodes well for relationship and the approval of the gas production plan and production lease.

Thank you for posting the link regarding the technology which I have read with interest.
I agree that the technology can detect leakage of hydrocarbons at the surface, most oil and gas fields have some minor leakage of hydrocarbons. The article you referenced also states that it does not establish porosity, permeability or depth at which hydrocarbons found.
So this technology is certainly useful for wildcat exploration drilling.
Predator is now in the appraisal/development stage and the gas has been proven.
Good to know that the technology has a reported 85% success rate , same as the moroccon basement exploration success rate.

I understand that the reason for rapid decline in share price is an increase in the short position in chariot from circa 0.75% to over 3% of issued share capital.

Thanks for the post kaz.
My reading of that technology is that it is an indicator that there is a source or source rock for the gas. However, we know from the logged well mou 1 that there is proven gas in a reservoir which is probably a more reliable indicator for the area.
