Fender, when to invest? There is never a right time and its when the timing is right for you. For me its not about jumping in with my whole investment pot. Instead I prefer to invest as and when it seems appropriate. I am puzzled why you did not invest when it was around 330/340p but for the moment that is history. A combination of investment in MKS might work for you. Say earmark some monies as for short/medium timescale and other monies to day trade. This could offer the best of both worlds and at any moment you can liquidate your investment. You can choose between being an investor or a trader and no one need know what your strategy is. Suggest that the trading update in the second week of January '26 might be when we see some real movement in the sp. November is likely to prove a dull affair confirming that the recovery is taking time which will be the expected message. After November the oldies will be spending their winter fuel payment on M&S food and other stuff as Xmas presents. Fingers crossed. JJ

If you read and digest the posts by Carrington you can learn much. His posts certainly cause me to consider my own strategy in that we are both LTH but Carrington points out when he takes a profit. Hi Fender, you could be right that the share will drop back to the 330 level. However you could very well see this move on to the 380's within the next 15 trading days. I will be surprised if the share is not again at 420p by May 2026; it could happen much earlier. I won't be unhappy if you get another buy in, in the 330's but you could miss out on finding this level for months/years. You might want to ponder whether you should become an investor rather than a trader, particularly if you believe MKS is going to be above 400 early in the New Year. Much to consider. Good luck, JJ

Percy the deal needs to be revisited as in the current climate they should not pay anywhere near £800m. In my opinion the Ocado vans need to be rebranded as M&S which would give an enormous boost to sales. There are millions of shoppers who don't even know about the tie up between M&S and Ocado. JJ

Fender I'm surrounded by branches of |Waitrose where the quality is lacking, you can't say that about M&S. I know a number of people who go out of their way to shop in M&S food halls. JJ
