As a genuine LTH I am not bothered by the current drop, for clarification I bought at approx. 113p. Personally I think Carrington is right to be adding; this could be up around 380p almost at any moment. However for balance it could in the short term drop under 300p. Good luck, JJ

Hi all I'm thinking that if Ms RR leaves the banks alone and halves what we can put into cash ISA's then the market could reach a new high and NWG might jump to £7. You have to be in it to win it or conversely lose it. Not long to wait. JJ

Forest AI bubble may very likely burst but from what I read it will be impacting the sector rather than the whole of the markets. Yes you might see an initial hit for all stocks followed by a scrambling for many of the FTSE 100 stocks where the UK investor is concerned. The view that cash is king is only good in the short term, its always true that in the long term you need to be in the markets to beat inflation. JJ

Jds15 my response to your posts is it does not have to be all in or all out. It will be annoying if we see a crash but it does not have to be more than that. You will be kicking yourself if you miss out on say a 25% plus gain. Good luck, JJ

I see no need to quote figures as they are all there if you want to review your message. One example, you mentioned food waste but chose not to mention the expansion in the number and size of food halls. Once more good luck, JJ

ItsYourGo, thanks for your post @ 18.39 its caused me to read up on the detail. Having digested your post and the detail in the results it would appear to me that you have an agenda and are hoping that the share price will drop. My view is that the figures are much as the market expected but that we may well tread water for a period in the run up to Christmas. But when the stores begin filling up with shoppers investors will take a view on the January trading update. IMO there is enough information available now to indicate that we will be above £4 in early January. Good luck, JJ

That is your opinion. On the 5th before the market opens the share price could be marked up or down 10%, that's my opinion. However I'm not expecting such a move. I will continue to hold. JJ

Doing away with a cafes is short sighted. Most people I know have a coffee when shopping at M&S so now they will leave the store to get their drink/snack. I have found the cafes are positioned on an upper floor where you would not otherwise go. This means you see something you didn't realise you needed. The cafes should be better promoted and not done away with. Never understood why the ready meals in the food hall are not promoted in the cafes. Even John Lewis know that it is a mistake to do away with cafes. My nearest JL added a second cafes with a fresh image to cater for shoppers wanting a bit more comfort for which you pay more. JJ
