Could the share price drop to £1 or below, of course it could because its done so in recent history.
However the drop, of the magnitude being discussed, will not be as a result of poor performance by M&S but due to world events.
Will I owe the schoolboy an apology? No. And why not, because he has been predicting that MKS results will be dire and I firmly disagree. If the results are substantially below £500m then I will pay a £100 to his named charity.

Hello again Neil, I so hope the war ends abruptly now avoiding more loss of life and life destroying injuries. Yesterday the 'news' reached such a pitch that I felt so inadequate. Not convinced we will see an increase in the dividend. The bod won't want to commit to a rise in the div when investors then expect the same/better at next results. For me we are more likely to see share buy back which can be stopped at anytime if the economy gets a lot worse and its deemed they need the cash for day to day needs. JJ

Shows that GROC means business, is doing everything to move at pace when demand is rapidly increasing for the end product. Worth increasing my investment in ALBA as I also believe in the prospects for Welsh gold . JJ

No they don't. They are awash with cash, hence they are buying their own shares to cancel them. Maybe one day they will find they have to pay more to reward customers but for the time being the banks are happy. JJ

Putting VAT back up appears very unimaginative on the part of the Chancellor. You would think that he would understand that for some there are Local Elections coming up and the increase in prices is going to impact on the feel good factor for this governments 'new voters'; they may well show their displeasure.
