Bought this morning at 2.39 and have really got caught up in the ups and downs and its much more interesting than the FT 100 stocks. GLA

Come on cheer up its still above £2, nothing much doing at present. I bought at 320 a few weeks back and it then dived to 160 so I then sold(stupid). I bought in again at 197 and 'am relaxed as it appears to be quite stable. We could see 250/300 in the next couple of months which is fine by me. GLA

Bought in earlier despite advice to bet on England winning the World Cup ( can remember black and white tele and Nobby Stiles). GLA

thomas65 how right you are. I think RBS is a unique case in that JC could take it into full public ownership and the general public would see it as justice.

Hill is the only one that you can say has much invested in MTRO, and even that is not very much for someone so wealthy, what does that tell us?

Ok I have some cheek but can someone sum up the story here please? I can afford to invest £500 and lose it. But is that the most likely outcome or is it worth buying. A short explanation would be appreciated. I don't think its a share that I would know where to start on research. Thanks, anticipating some helpful comments, Jim.
P.S. In view of my lack of research its only going to be a small investment.

I am not in agreement. I want dearer petrol/diesel to get people onto public transport. I choose not to own a car but do sometimes hire one but get around on a pushbike(7000 miles this year so far). My preference is for home grown food and will pay more for it. If mortgage rates went up significantly it would lower house prices which is better for the renters who want to buy. The world is not as we want to see it. Interesting how views differ. Buy to let took off as interest rates fell and meant the poor suffered, as they invariably do. I'm an oldie who wants my grandchildren to have the chances I had.

MTRO has held on rather well today. If a bit of good news could be given out there seems little doubt we would see a decent rise. GLA

Up 1p on the day with another 40 or so trading days this year, I would settle for another 40p rise by the year end. GLA

You might be spot on if there is relief that we are going to have a General Election. There used to be a view that Labour is good for the markets. Colti you have made some good calls from what I can see. GL

I have been doing my homework and cannot see that anyone would want to pay the inflated price that would currently apply. It seems more likely that a numbers of big investors will accumulate shares at these low prices but not as a formal consortium, and thereforenot in the short term having to disclose an interest. Is that rubbish?

This is good, the two shares will make us rich in time. GLA
