RE: Well I'm worried6 Dec 2020 10:01
Gecko, I'm very grateful for your post, as at times I can be in the "worry bunch". In my case I will explain why. Back when the banking crisis hit I had about 90% of my eggs in RBS and lost about £200,000, leaving me with £30,000 if I scraped everything together; but I also owned a house. However there was a catch with the house, the tenants had a legal right to live in it for life. I was aged 58. Since then I have turned things around, my tenants moved out so I live in the house, and have done a beautiful job of sympathetically restoring it. In 2016 I was diagnosed with cancer, had an operation but am still left with cancer. Today my investments are climbing back and EUA is making a valuable contribution, currently worth say £30,000. This is not meant as a sorry tale but is a true one. If we get 70p or more I will buy a campervan and celebrate with exploring our wonderful country in it, and cycling thousands of miles while I can. EUA is life changing for me in a modest way. Let it deliver by 17th January when I will be 70. Try to stay well, be generous to your loved ones and those who have not been so lucky, which is your call. Gecko thank you once more for keeping us positive. JJ
