On 2nd February Cyber said that he expected the share to float around £1 to £1.40 for the next couple of years; me thinks that he does not want me to mention that.
I'm expecting it to be significantly above that by the end of '23, and higher again at the end of '24. £2 by the end of '23 is my target, but time will tell. JJ
You should be able to scan in seconds and decide whether you want to contribute to the debate, or ignore. Even posters who have a reputation for ramping will surprise you with a new viewpoint not previously considered. Pleasant dreams of a RNS at 7am. JJ
Builder, I did not imply that dividends would provide comfort to me. IMHO buybacks can go relatively unnoticed by investors which is why companies more often choose to do both. But if its a choice between a div or a buyback then the former is likely to get more all round publicity. As you will know there are funds that won't consider a company if its not paying a div i.e. their raison d'etre is income with preservation of capital. We are on the same side, and both want to see upward movement in the share price. Have a good weekend. JJ
Noba, its very brave of you to admit your top up actual amount; please ignore those who are being sarcastic toward you. Sincerely well done, and I for one hope your investment in VAST works well for you. Have a great day. JJ
You have caused me to think, thanks. As a first step I would take the view that to pay £25m out as a div would have more impact. There are investors who want their investment to give both income and capital growth. Personally any div would be reinvested anyway. March will give some answers, we hope. JJ
Don't worry its only money, and we have all those diamonds, and you know they are worth a lot to AP. However will you share in their full value? Lets keep our dream for the moment, but maybe get out before the weekend. JJ
Harush & Cyber, thank you for your kind efforts on my behalf. I am not convinced that Odey borrowed the shares and promptly sold . If the FYR don't deliver then that's when Mr. Nasty is likely to show his true colours. At least that's my view. If I had a few billion I would take great delight in scuppering his plans. Lets hope for fantastic results so he rues the day he shorted MTRO. JJ
Hello Cyber, I wonder if you could explain something for me. Lets assume that we are notified in a RNS that say XX has a short of 1% of the stock. Now my understanding is that means XX has borrowed that 1%. But does it mean XX has already sold those shares or could XX be waiting for the moment to do so? If the latter this would explain how we are seeing a small rise in the share price but XX could be about to sell a chunk of shares he has borrowed and so cause the share to drop. For example XX could sell on results day with the result that small innocent investors panic and exacerbate the drop; so XX wins. Your thoughts would be much valued, and I'm not implying you are a shorter but you may be the one to help. I've asked this before but no one wants, or has been able to answer. JJ
