Hi Gloria, it was announced the evening after the 40% rise last week. Less than 2 weeks now so not long.

It’s dropped due to the Scottish assessment extension, I’m expecting it to build up again shortly.

Potentially on manufacturing costs too.

Genomadix doesn’t have the same full FDA clearance that GDR are going for. I think I recall there are limitations in who they can sell to.

Should see a decent rise leading up to 17th October, I'm expecting a positive RNS.

I’m not sure what’s happening with that tender, sounds like it’s no longer going ahead. It says it has been awarded though also states further up…

Rachael Reeves’ budget in October could or might be affecting prices here short term, with many people fearing business relief may be removed from the AIM market.

The company promised AIHL test adoption in 4 more hospitals within 4 months of May, which is September however we’ve had that news now… they rolled out earlier in the summer.

Somebody else mentioned the company were expecting stroke marker test orders to begin in September.

Roger, not at all agreeing that. I believe the stroke marker test will sell very well as it is, it saves the NHS a lot of money vs no testing. And before Slacker pipes up lol lab testing is likely years a way from having capacity to handle the numbers if it’s even feasible.

I don’t know what the timescale is on the next version of Genedrive but I believe it’s a way off and certainly isn’t going to impair sales of the current version. Maybe it’ll coincide with the new tests they’re developing.

Hi Porsh, many thanks for your insightful posts, really useful info. Huge potential here considering the number of people prescribed clopidogrel each year, I read it is the second most commonly prescribed drug worldwide.

Looking to the future… I wonder if Genedrive will eventually open up their POC device so that it can receive 3rd party tests. With all the user testing and refinements already integrated in to the design (and more to come) it would seem to make sense for the NHS to use Genedrive’s POC for all POC testing in the future, rather than multiple devices for different tests.

We know they’re planning a new version that will be able to run several tests of their own, perhaps that’s just the start.

Porsh, thank you very much for your posts. In the conference call did Genedrive reveal very much about the new assays they’re working on? Or anything about improvements to the Genedrive device to allow testing for multiple genes? And lastly anything about using the stroke marker test for heart attacks which clopidogrel is also prescribed for? Thanks!

MT-RNR1 test is in routine use in 8 or 9 NICU hospitals now, with another 4 expected in the next 6 months. It takes time because each unit needs to find funding, however they all want it. Specialist commission next spring should drastically speed up the process.

Is it available for viewing by any chance?

James Cheeks' message on Linkedin was tongue in cheek aimed at one particular hospital in East London. The test is coming to NICU hospitals throughout Kent, Surrey and Sussex next imo.

Exactly my thoughts BigAl, the US have new guidelines that recommend antiplatelet therapy within 12-24 hours of first stroke. There's no way labs can handle those kind of speeds, and Genedrive is clearly the best POC.

Point-of-care testing within the community is recommended “as an alternative if laboratory-based testing is not feasible at this scale, or while capacity for laboratory-based testing is increased" ...it's fairly well known that it's not feasible at this scale... enter Genedrive, the recommended POC.

"Minor Stroke and TIA patients are at the highest risk of a recurrent stroke in the first week and especially in the first 48 hours after initial symptoms."

"U.S. AHA/ASA guidelines recommend dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) within 12-24 hours of first stroke or TIA to prevent recurrent stroke for minor stroke or high-risk TIA."
