Beckman will have signed the deal knowing very well that the tests might not receive FDA approval before the tests reach their expiry date, they know the industry inside out. This will likely be why they got such a great deal, they will have factored both scenarios in (with EUA/without EUA) to ensure they can sell enough to make a substantial profit.

They will be making deals I have no doubt what so ever. They have plenty of independent reports and studies to show to customers how good the tests are. As I’ve said before, Beckman know what they are doing!! :) …they spent a long time assessing the test and doing due diligence.

One thing they will not have done is gambled money and marketing resources on the chance that the tests received EUA approval before they expire. Most likely scenario in my mind is they planned for this, knowing that if by chance EUA suddenly landed then great it will make selling easier, though it won’t have been a requirement.

Yes there are bound to be sales, Danaher's Life Science business brought in $10B last year and h2 2021 showed revenue up 40%. BC and Sysmex were key contributors to that, so it seems they know what they're doing.

Even if there is one single deal to supply 1 lab running 1 machine 24/7 for 12 months, it's about $10m of revenue I think if my rough of the top of my head maths is about right. Without EUA, sales may not seem significant to a multi-billion $ company but for a £30m company they will be massive! I need to check my maths tonight, that seems too much.

I don't think they're neccessarily hiding sales I just think they are a company that develops great products to be sold in the market, sales are expected. They aren't going to put out an RNS announcement whenever they sell something, it's not a revelation to them. Although for some posters who believe we've sold zero and never will sell anything it would be.

I am surprised though that they didn't RNS some of the stuff in that article, certainly the HCV sales in particular. It might be that they're planning a full update and just waiting for a few key things to happen first so they can be included, like a second BC order, WHO, AIHL, POC... etc. There are a lot of major items expected soon so it would make sense to wait and include these.

I disagree there, we know from the 360 New York article that they’ve began receiving sales again for HCV and that hasn’t been RNS’ed. That article is now hidden behind a subscription wall, so for some reason he doesn’t appear to want to share much info about sales in general at the moment. Now with the qPCR test, Beckman are not publicly disclosing numbers about their sales. If DB knows, then it appears he isn’t able to disclose. Which makes sense, BC is a separate business to us. All we know is when they buy from us. Their current batch of tests is expiring soon so I’m expecting a new order, and a much larger more favourable one at that from genedrives’s perspective.

Getting quite excited thinking about the numbers again. Hypothetically, if Beckman close deals with just 5 labs, each running 2 machines 24/7 they will use up the entire first shipment in about 20 days. If each of those labs puts through a scheduled order to keep them going for just 3 months then that’s over $20m.

They don’t have a lot of stock to sell when you consider the throughput. With existing stock expiring in the next 30/40 days, and 6 month sales cycle drawing to a close, it seems rather likely a new much larger shipment will be required :)

It does seem probable these 3 lots were shipped, good research. I understood the $400k to be for the whole shipment. Naturally Beckman will be selling the kits for a lot higher, seems they got a great deal on the initial shipment if the market value was $5m. They'll be paying a lot more for the second shipment! :)

Considering the recent updates to the Beckman website's Genedrive pages/content it certainly suggests they are persuing with the Genedrive kit. Looking at those expiry dates, it does seem likely a second shipment will be sooner rather than later too :)

Where does it say that all of the 2315 plates were shipped to Beckman Coulter?

Seems a very odd time to give up hope when we have several highly anticipated products gearing up for launch and Beckman's sales cycle should be begining to bare fruit. Expecting news on a commercial distributor for the Covid POC test soon too, plus a whole load of other news each capable of sending the shareprice up at least 50-200%!! I think it was InPhobe who provided a very good summary of everything coming up. I expect the next order from Beckman will be substantial to say the least! These guys won't fail :)

I haven't seen this before - Sadly it requires a login to access, thought for a moment Beckman were throwing us a branch. Seems Beckman have made quite a few recent updates to the site, the site is looking better and better.

Looking through Danaher's aquisitions and considering their interest in Point of Care it seems highly likely they will aquire us at some point imo, I'm just not sure when.

Have been reading through some of Danaher's latest financial updates. Revenue for their Life Sciences business (including Beckman Coulter Life Sciences and Cytiva) is up 41.5% for Q2 2021. Life Sciences seems to be their biggest and fastest growing business bringing in over $10billion last year. They defintely know what they're doing! :)

I was hoping to find specific details and figures, about Beckman and Cytiva's revenue streams but no such luck yet. It's impressive and reassuring though to see how brilliant they are at what they do. Initially, after the Beckman/Genedrive shipment in March I had naively expected sales in the coming weeks, but the reality is the sales cycle takes much longer and is a series of well rehearsed steps that end with a closed deal. Beckman are experts at this, I think somebody posted before that they have a 6 month sales cycle. From my understanding the length varies depending on the size of the deals, so the larger the deal the longer a sales cycle will be. The minimum sales cycle (small deals) is around 3 months. We know Beckman and Danaher don't mess about, they do things big... and they're very good at it!

We’ve had an order from Beckman, we’ve had orders resume recently for the HCV assays. All in less than 6 months. Beckman’s sales cycle should be converting leads around now (based on at least 4 months typical sales marketing cycle). Aswell as that we’re expecting huge interest in Covid POC test and hearing loss tests both launching soon. Just a little bit more patience needed for what should be a massive re-rate IMO. There will be mini spikes in the meantime for news on the stepping stones, WHO, EUA etc etc.

No not at all, we’ve had a few tasty, very promising early samples of the jam but not the finished product so to speak. It’s been anticipation and excitement of what’s to come that’s taken the price up to the £1-3 levels. Significant sales, contracts and orders will take the price even higher, and bring more stability. We’re very much still in the jam tomorrow phase! IMO :)

Jam tomorrow is the whole point of investing! In simple terms you buy when the price is low before the jam has been delivered, when you know the price will multiply. If it was jam yesterday you will have been too late, jam today and you’ll be spiked :)

The hush hush I will be related to Beckman Coulter. BC won’t give any details whatsoever about sales throughput at the moment, so even if Budd knows, he won’t be able to tell us.

The average sales cycle is at least 4 months. Based on that and with BC beginning their aggressive marketing and sales campaigns in March, it’s reasonable to expect them to be closing sales right around now. Exciting times for Genedrive with so many things coming in to fruition. Take over comments are interesting, not sure myself though I am confident something positively big is about to happen, on several fronts. Looking forward to update.

Exactly, ODX has a mcap 3x that of Genedrive's, our shareprice has followed a similar pattern their's too over the pandemic. What seems to sometimes get forgotten is Genedrive has several non-covid 'best in the field' products, AIHL launching in the next couple of months and HCV already selling well. POC approvals expected imminently and more on the horizon... (EUA, WHO etc). I'm confident the shareprice will be considerably higher come September/October (and probably some spikes much sooner).

Yeah can still access it with a bit of development know how, but many people won't know how to do that. It's just strange that the company isn't releasing it in an rns, I think they need to... it needs to be public.

360DX have now moved the Genedrive article (new york article) in to their premium subscription content, it was the most read article recently so probably explains why. However there was price sensitive information in there that including the HCV sales news that is no longer publically available (without paying for 360DX subscription). Surely this info should now be released by Genedrive so everyone is aware of it?
